Two days ago, I found out that the father of a close family friend is on a ventilator and it's not looking good. He's in his 50's and he refused to get the vaccine. Now this friend is out of her mind with worry that she's about to lose her father.

Oh but it does hurt. Controlling the narrative means you override facts, regardless of the consequences and clear reality. People still think Obamacare is a failure, despite knowing that it's still around and benefitting from it. That first simple impression really sticks. I never got a flu shot either. No need. My immune system remains superhuman.

My point is that Obamacare is now extremely popular. You won't convince everyone it's good, but you don't have to. Doing the right thing is far more important than "controlling the narrative". And in the end, doing the right thing really does work. The best narrative of all is, "we are the good guys".

Now this doesn't mean you have to be passive in your messaging. But it in the long run, it usually pays to be honest and decent. That's how Biden has lasted so long in politics. It's how he got elected and that's how he will win again. If getting out of Afghanistan was the right thing to do then that's what people will recognize in the next election.

This is such an ignorant view. COVID is not the flu and you will quickly realize that when you get it. My immune system is also superhuman, but why would I try to go up against something that can be unpredictable? I thought my wife's immune system was also superhuman, but clearly it hit her much harder than me. You are a very stupid man.

It doesn't matter, their illness is less severe and they recovery faster, hence the risk of spread is lower. And believe it or not, I don't want you to go to the hospital. I don't really care about you, but in the end you are a risk to other people who don't want to get sick, you will take a hospital bed from someone who needs it more, and we the taxpayers always get stuck with the bill.
