Because they aren't concerned with it (despite their title). The theme of Black Lives Matter is that America is inherently a racist country, its citizens are largely racist, and its citizens have hired roving gangs of white racists cops to go around killing black people because, well, Americans are racists and that's what racists do. So I can't see why you would ask that rhetorical question, when the answer isn't any kind of "gotcha" at all. The events you are referring to are not in BLM's wheelhouse.

America doesn't have a gun problem. True mass shootings, though tragic, are incredibly rare. The vast majority of homicides are criminals shooting other criminals (or, occasionally, tragic domestic incidents that wouldn't be changed - they'd just use a knife instead). I've seen bow and arrow attacks and car attacks that have injured / killed many people as well.

While your sentiment is correct, unfortunately what they spew is ALSO a result of ignorance, which is Gary's issue. All states have "blue" cities, but the vast majority of the gun deaths happen in RED states. His argument is bunk.

When you take it further, gun violence in general is a major problem in our country, but the GOP turns a blind eye to that and believes that MORE guns is the answer. They want automatic and semi-automatic weapons and things like bump stocks to be just fine, but they want to ban books. INSANITY.
