Though Nedd will have the venue as long as he needs it. No way SOPAC are going to send him packing with 100km to run. That would be really sh1tty.
Even if SOPAC had good reason to chuck them out, they will complain to A Current Affair and SOPAC will be the baddies for 'stopping a WR attempt" and denying homeless more money
Interesting. 11:07am came in to finish a “master lap”, did not cross timing mats(!?), went to aid tent & came straight back out to start new “master lap” in opposite direction.
Pretty loose operation this. Gutsy running no doubt.
Average pace at this point is nonsense. Pace of the last 24 hours might be more helpful. But no idea what that would be thanks to the genius set up from the timing company.
...come on, Sneakers will give you a calculator..
Not that hard, it's the same calculation as any other table of splits. There is the "Time of day" column so you know the total time for any lap. Each lap is 12.3 km long. Take something like the last 4 or 5 laps duration and distance. Divide. You have your answer.
I think it’s marketing genius. “What’s a master lap?” (WAML) firmly established in the oz social media sphere.I only twigged today that it’s actually 887766554433221122334455667788 to make 12.8586km/master lap. So that’s ONLY 2 laps in lane 1 and 4 in every other.

Nedd's most recent Instagram story - he says he's running/walking 200 metre blocks due to knee issues. The stadium is 'kicking them off the track' at midday on Wednesday so he's trying to complete the 1000 miles by then. He's so deeply exhausted he can't even explain it.
I wish he'd pull the pin on this, it's just a suffer-fest. Is there anything to be gained by walking it in??

I expect you'll pay more attention in my classes
Stoppit with the BS, there is absolutely no way of telling how many actual laps or kms he has done at any one point. All you have are updates of the master lap at some point after he has done it with a time of day of master lap.
If I look at him walking now, all I am doing is assuming from being in lane 1 at 12:30pm he is halfway through an MS that started after the last one finished at 10:07am...but then again, I have been wrong on that every time, as none of the laps have even been that long

Just to reiterate, the only logical reason for the master laps is obfuscation, it wouldn't be a SOPAC requirement for a bloke that slow on very soft shoes. If he wanted to he could have gone in the straightest lane, say lane 8 which I think is 452.5m, straighten the corners a bit to bring it to 450m, and alternate very x laps.
