My guess is that On offered her a renewal but she got a better deal with another brand. Could be Hoka, could be Puma (yes their shoes are fast but their sales absolutely sucked last year so they could want to experiment with hybrid influencer-running type deals), could be Saucony, could be Decathlon. Could be Adidas (they already sponsor a couple hybrid influencer-running male athletes). Could be Mizuno (they seem to be going big at the influencer train). Probably isn't New Balance.
The goal of the running companies isn't to have the fastest times (other than hoping their race flat is worn in a world record). It's to sell shoes. And to somebody with three kids, 45 and a full time job paying six figures hoping to break 25 in the 5k, all that really matters from a marketing perspective is whether the person pitching her on whatever shoe knows more about running than she does And because of how running works, anybody who runs sub 7 minute pace for a 5k fits the bill. And maybe even some people who run 8 minute pace. I mean Mizuno and Skechers collaborate with Track Club Babe all the time, she must sell shoes for them.
Can’t believe puma sales sucked, thought they were bigger than ever having broken into the hyrox runner market with the velocity nitro etc.

I don't care if you film your race Kofuzi! What I care about is that your six foot selfie stick is dangerous to other runners and interferes in their races. The race is just as much about them as it is about vaunted influencers like you!

well he's really started to show his true (very snarky) colors lately. too smug for his own good sitting in front of his horde of slightly worn shoes like Smaug.

The Fast-R 3 releases were a joke. In the UK they were selling out in <1min if the vendor sent an email to alert customers, ok that's fine to happen once or twice. Still happening after four releases would suggest they could just get more stock out there to meet demand?
One of the later releases (SaySky version) the new stock dropped around midnight with SportsShoes, who hadn't sent an email but bizarrely they were only showing stock in womens' sizes. ProDirect also sent no email, so you could purchase at your leisure if you'd worked out they were there. Start Fitness did email, released stock at 8am, most sizes out of stock within minutes. Puma? Never showed any stock through their website/app.
Probably the most wanted shoe for the last year, but the release was like watching an episode of The Apprentice where one team have the best product by a mile and still somehow manage to lose.
they produce so few shoes as generally they sell bugger all and all there "supershoes" end up in the bargain bin at your local outlet shopping centre
this is the rare occasion where there shoe has gained a bit of interest although the lifespan of the show is very limited and they are unsuitable for over 10k. seems an influencer or 2 has got a bit excited and theyve sold out of the 500 shoes they typically produce - they dont release 10,000 at a time like nike do as no one ever buys them

Agreed, but this shoe came with big lab tested claims that it was significantly faster than every other shoe ever produced, and the early feedback from runners was that the claims were well founded. It sold out in nanoseconds first drop. Puma might have already placed their order for the second drop. But surely they could have scaled up for the next drop?
Nick Harris-Fry (Run Testers channel, heel striker) did a marathon in FR3 (London, 2:26 I think) he said they went well for him but I accept some runners saying they felt beaten up even doing a half. I'm planning to use them for my next half, have only raced in them up to 10k so far.

The guy who ran the fastest ever Ironman marathon in 2:26 was wearing them. What do you mean they are unsuitable for over 10k? Loads of people are running fast marathons in them...
A simply marvellous new video from Floberg! He is just the BEST at voice over race videos and he got a brilliant result even if he wasn’t happy with it as he’s a marathoner not a 5K man
New coaching slots available too 👀 seriously tempted.
Some of the hate he gets here is just ridiculous. He’s just a typical American dude. We are all like that! So to all the Brits here, stop bullying us just cause we are slightly different to you.

I think they can be unsuitable over 10k if you never trained in them. Several runners in Puma's Project3 seem to have done just fine with them in the marathon, but I think they had another pair for their buildup. Personally, I failed miserably in the marathon after setting a PB in the half with the Fast-Rs.
Michael Ottesen also blamed the Fast-Rs for his performance at CIM, as this is a thread about YouTubers.
What an incredible moment for the people of Tokyo after that announcement from Bester!
I wouldn't be surprised if in November/December this year, we see an uptick in giant half Japanese, half South African babies being born. This influx of Bester into the gene pool could very well be what propels Japan in front of Kenya and Ethiopia.
I ran 3 half marathons last year in them and I really think they worked great for me. I did not train in them other than running a few minutes at race pace 2 days out from the races. They are so hard to get I don't think many people are training in them other than Puma athletes. I was able to order a new pair last night.
I am not sure how a full would go but I did think Otterson unfairly blamed them as he went into that race with a calf injury and was not able to run for over a week before CIM. Of course he was not gonna run his best

I was in project 3 for NYC, we got a pair to train in and a new one for the race. The shoes are really aggressive and fast but my legs have never been so wrecked as they were the following day.
In Hyrox crossover news, Britain’s most obvious doper Jake Dearden is targeting 2.19 at Houston this weekend.
A guy who ran 34.30 and then somehow 8 weeks later ran 2.28 coming from a sport with no doping controls or protocols.
There’s so many dirt bags coming from bodybuilding to hyrox then to running or triathlon from there now with huge doping history. I’ve seen someone win an Ironman world champs spot with a pinned post on her profile about her drugs protocol. Absolutely shameless behavior. WADA would wanna start testing age groupers /sub elites at races based on tip offs.
