Mitch's words were something like 'Obama should have kept his mouth shut.' In other words, an old white southern conservative telling a black man that he should just keep quiet and not be uppity.

I know that's not what Mitch meant, but that's how it will be understood.

I'd like to see Biden announce during the campaign that he will nominate Obama for Secretary of State.

Obama could be the face of the country again.

Kind of like how Putin kept switching job titles keep at the head of Russia.

It would be great to see Obama as the top US diplomat for foreign relations.

But the constitution does say he can't serve more than 10 years total. So there's that.

I don't think he is constitutionally ineligible to the office. The 22nd amendment seems to say he is ineligible to be elected to a third term, but still eligible to serve two more years of someone else's term.

It’s never been tested, and I don’t think it will. The scenario that comes to mind is a Gerry Ford one, where there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice-President and Obama is nominated and confirmed as the new VP by the Senate and then the sitting president leaves office before the term is up. It would go to the SCOTUS which I would guess would interpret the inability to be elected as president to be the same as being ineligible to hold the office. It seems that was the intent of the 22nd Amendment. Congress didn’t pass that amendment with the idea that the ghost of FDR could become VP and then President a fifth time.

The message we seem to be getting from the White House is that we do not need a high level of testing for the rest of America to safely get back to work but they do need daily testing of every single person to continue working at the White House.

they are writing D negative ads for us. 'Trump is fighting for tests for his people but not for you.'

For the campaign, all they have to do is keep Biden in his basement, let him give a short sound bite now and then and run tons of negative ads on Trump. Just keep him alive, like RGB.

Of course Fox News and the Trump campaign will try to make negative ads on Biden.

But the ammunition stockpile against Trump is so huge.

All he had going for him was a steady economy and that's gone now.

Even if you fault the virus, he still can't say the economy is good and that he has a any plan to make things better.

Trump's base isn't enough.

The swing voters don't have any good news they're seeing.

Just don't let Biden talk too much. Notice that he has learned how to cut himself off in interviews and in those debates.

Be a man of few words.
