Not worth my time to continue to engage on this beyond this post but it is silly to call something a lie when the person making the statement does not know or believe it to be false.
If you told me something happened earlier this year, honestly believing that to be the case, when the actual event happened last December, it would be idiotic of me to consider you to be lying.
