A lie is a deliberate attempt to leave someone with a false impression. Many MAGAns say false things that they absolutely believe are true. They're wrong, but they're not lying.

Sure, as True Believers® they have uncritically accepted others' lies, but when they repeat those falsehoods they're not necessarily lying themselves.

And this is true of other religions, as well.
