Not to sound like a stalker, but J Mills of Crown My Run is looking suspiciously close to training via NSM based on his recent strava runs. Will it be enough to hold back the W Mills-shaped tsunami coming after his PBs in 2026?
NSM? Doing two standard threshold sessions across 2 weeks does not make someone doing NSM. In the past 17 days as well as two threshold sessions he's also done: three 5k races, 2 x 1 mile at sub 5k pace, a long run with efforts in, a long run right at the top of Z2, a Z2 run, short sprints plus 5k at M pace. If this is NSM then everything is NSM.
Jody just confirmed he's been reading the sirpoc book in his latest video
I'd guess the dude means hateable, as opposed to hateful. She's not hateful. But she's playing the influencer game which of course makes her as shltty a person as the next influencer.
I did mean hateful. Am typing on iPhone and it changed it.

Exactly lol. He makes less than 2k a month in ad revenue so it's not like he makes bank just by filming himself run. He stays afloat using his likeness to scam 60 people at $125 per month.
One core memory family trip to NYC and he's blown through half of the year's ad revenue.
oh definitely agree with you guys. i think he's pathetic for charging $100+ monthly for 'coaching'. he should honestly be ashamed he's doing that crap. literally scamming people but he'll justify it by saying he's giving them good advice and 'fostering a community'. apparently per the youtube video his monthly price might be at $150 for the coaching lol. i mean...ya pretty wild he's making ~$1800 per head and probably has a roster of ~50 people so that's a potential $90k all from the bs coaching services.
but i also don't think he's struggling for money by any means. the dude is definitely clearing $200k in total every year i bet. sure he has a family of 4 kids and a wife to support on that, but it's more than doable and comfortable in a chicago suburb. he's probably quite comfortable monetarily, by no means rich, but being able to make 'running' your job is a pretty sweet gig he's cooked up for himself to not have a typical/slave like 9-5 corporate job. but yeah, he's the worst for this 'coaching' stuff by preying on his followers and taking their money for stuff that by no means should be $150 a month. thats just laughable and he's a conning grifter for doing this. i know many in the local community who know who he is feel the same way. it's really just his mindless fans who suck him off and glaze every video who are willing to waste $1-2k/yr to be coached by the great eric floberg. pisses me off lol
he did also mention that he shoots some commercial running film projects that can make him like $5k-20k a piece so that's not nothing...but yea the bulk is his coaching scheme.
i think he also has non-running related 'e-courses' for wedding photography or videomaking that he's said in the past he makes like tens of thousands of dollars from annually in passive income. screw you bloberg you genius internet money scamming artistic douchebro!!!!
Does his net income include his health insurance for the whole Floberg brood and pension savings?
These figures always sound great but he won't be getting paid holiday allowance, no pension, no health insurance, many other perks you get working for a company.
Also, what is he doing all day? He gets up at 6am to run "with the boys" or runs on the mill late at night. If he's a "full time" runner he can run when he wants surely? He was running of an afternoon for a period so he must have other stuff on which he has to do of a day. His wife "teaches" the kids doesn't she?

For two people, it's modest. However, people need to get over the idea that companies are caring, supportive places. Blowberge is not capable of earning anywhere near what he does working for a company. Why would earning perhaps a third of what he does now,in exchange for a token pension contribution and health insurance seem appealing.
People need to appreciate the majority of these YouTubers are not turning their back on high flying careers.
So the stats have been calculated and the scores are in. LetsRun’s most popular and unpopular influencers of 2025. Calculated as best as I could. Score system as follows:
+ 1 point for a positive comment about an influencer
- 1 point for a negative comment about an influencer
+ 0.5 points for an ambiguous or neutral comment about an influencer
The top 3 are as follows:
1) Nick Bester = +24 points. A surprising win for Nick. He had by far the most comments. Lots of positive and negative ones. Many ambiguous ones, so maybe a controversial win this one.
2) FODrunner = +22 points. Far less comments than Bester but they were overwhelmingly positive.
2) Jake RanToJapan = +16 points. He was on course for a comprehensive win until a flurry of negativity post Valencia. Will be interesting to see how he recovers.
The bottom 3 are as follows:
1) Floberg = -34 points. Talked about a lot but unfortunately for him normally in a negative light.
2) Fenton = -22 points. A surprising one but doesn’t seem to have many defenders like Bester.
3) Phily = -18 points. Again lots of mentions but often people comparing about something.
Interestingly all the top 3 from 2025 are in negative marks in 2026 so far. So all to play for.

I suppose Nick would have done worse if you rated a neutral comment as +0. But I can see why a neutral comment should count positively, being known about clearly requires some degree of aptitude or luck that should be rewarded. However perhaps +0.25 might be a more appropriate rating for a neutral comment? Also I'm assuming you didn't count the obvious troll/sarcasm posts?
In any case on Bester, I follow the maxim that you should basically forgive anything if the end result is decent. And bester does produce decent videos (particularly of races) without fluff that are enjoyable to watch. If a restaurant produces excellent food you can always forgive bad service, but good service can never make up for bad food.

99% sure that they pulled their kids out of regular school and homeschooled them because it fit better with their “schedule”. Ie so daddy can fulfill his influencer dream
Hilarious that he posted on IG that he worked less this year. But then he calls running his job and he’s logged the most miles ever? Which one is it?

yup. idk if it's bc his family is religious..i mean idk what they are and doubt they're mormon but they got 4 kids lmao (cue the cringey praise jesus song video floberg made years ago) or if they did the schooling for floberg's own career benefit (i do think they just homeschool since they personally want to do that - which i think is a bad idea personally but that's a separate discussion). having your wife stay home and be a teacher to your kids is definitely a choice. im sure his children are gonna grow up to be self centered influencers just like daddy lbvs.
obviously his net income doesn include health ins and retirement perks. so you haev a point. but i agree with poster that said thats overrated. sure hes buying health ins for the family on theo pen market and probably paying a decent chunk to have it. but he's still making well into six figures net regardless, plus by owning his own 'businesses', with the running being one, he gets to write off tons of expenses i bet like travel to races, gear, film equipment to make videos, etc. he's probably lowering his taxable income by a nice amount.
i dont like the guy, i think we all think he's a joke. and the fact he's scamming people with the coaching biz is really laugfhable and an embarassdment. i'd love to see him address that one dayd. of course he won't sine it's raking in the cash for him.
your last point though...not sure what the jab is. running is his main job now but im sure hes pretty ahappy about that and its not hing like a real job that most peple slave aay in an office for. i think the guys point is he used to put in tons of hours with film stuff to make videos for clients or go to wedings and film/photgraph them. now he doesnt do that anymore and he just gets to run alot. but i do think theyre's something off with havinf 4 children, making your wife care for them, and going for 6am runs swith the boys (fellow grown men) and traveling around to run races while your family sits at home (and when you go to new york to run a race and miss your own kids events). certainly interesting choices and floberg doesnt seem to bat an eye at them. i guess the guys happy and maybe his family is too, or at least he can keep telling himself and the world that is the case through every social post he always has to make to show how fulfilled he is with many many core memories!
Predominantly for UK folks - does anyone have any answers why Alfie Manthorpe has never had a contract with a proper running brand?
Track PB's - 7:53 / 13:47 / 29:19 Road PB's - 13:48 / 28:12 / 61:26 which ranked him 13th/8th/6th domestically Social Media - has 74K IG followers + up until selling it last year, owned Trackstaa which has 122K followers
Aside from having potentially the driest personality on the internet + a very inconsistent record of uploading videos to either his Youtube or Trackstaa's, he seems to have only been sponsored by 247, which their own website describes themselves as a "British luxury fashion label" and seems more targeted towards 'hybrid athletes', hyrox folks and gym bro's
I appreciate he's not making the OLY's, but having had multiple GB vests, his National Rankings and his PB's compared to domestic peers who have small contracts, I'm surprised to have never seen him get support from a bigger brand and I can only think this happens when there's either a massive misalignment between what the athlete think's their value is vs. what a sports brand does, or, when there is some kind of record of x being difficult to deal with etc

Last point is pretty simple. He said on IG he worked less this year. But he ran more miles this year than ever as he calls running his main job. So did you really work less?
Him suddenly making all these posts about his family in the last year are 100% in response to folks calling him out on his narcissism and being an absent father/partner. Who cares if you worked less this year, the fact that it even needs to be said by him gives true insight into his life

I've wondered this as well. I never really watched Trackstaa (which he founded right?) but being, I think, a sort of news / fan channel, I wonder if he talked sh!t on someone or a brand and now someone who has a lot of sway has been telling brands not to touch him. Pure speculation, but he was putting his opinions on the internet from a young age, so wouldnt surprise me if he pissed someone off.
Talented runner though, looking forward to seeing how his debut marathon goes this year and if his sponsorship situation changes after that - I think he's in for Seville. He beat Alex Yee in the Valencia half, and has a faster PB as a result. Not saying he'll translate that as well as Alex to the marathon, but 2:08-2:10 for a debut would be fantastic.

I don’t follow him closely so not sure on his personality or financial situations but maybe he doesn’t look for them? I'm sure one who gives a salary like a shoe brand most would like but if it’s a nutrition brand or watch etc - the ones more likely to support someone not only level- you’ve to do a lot of pushy promotions and content for some free stuff, he may not like that carry on? Or he comes from money and doesn’t need to..
Can someone tell Hugo Fry to put his birds face on Instagram already?? I’ve seen butterfly’s do harder launches than this. We want to see if she’s fit and also if she has any milkers. It’s not hard
I think you've nailed most of the reasons. I can't imagine he's too marketable to people. I personally really enjoy his few Youtube videos on the really technical aspects of his training. He's clearly a guy who works incredibly hard, genuinely likes running and actually understands/thinks about training concepts, which is better than many Youtubers.
But I can't imagine many competitive runners would really want to sit down and watch 30 minutes of him explaining threshold running to a camera, let alone hobby runners. And aside from those videos and the odd IG reel of him running on a track, he doesn't post much else and isn't well known. So he probably just isn't that marketable sadly.
Maybe he could get a sponsorship when he runs Seville or whatever marathon though - based on his training, I'd say he has a good chance of running a very solid debut (maybe 2.08/2.09 if he has a good day)
