4/30 data
You want good news? I don't have it.
Going on a 7 day average change in daily deaths the planet still is still getting worse, not better.
I think there is some kind of belief that things are coming down the backside of the curve. But it isn't happening, except in Italy.
Global daily deaths, 7 day average, up 1%
The US continues to show its patheticness. US seven day average: +5%.
The US is 39% of world deaths, the highest we've seen that figure. The richest nation on the planet and we are a star bad performer.
NY State has cut its daily deaths by 2/3s...that's good. They had their best day in a long time.
There's really not much else good happening out there, except the Italy/France/Spain combo does have negative numbers over 7 days,
Sweden is getting worse, not better. Back to 10th place after a brief improvement to 12th.
Only slightly optimistic thing I can say is that April 28 was a very bad day...if that kind of bad day isn't repeated then the numbers would get much, much better. Tomorrow April 28 will age out of the 3 day averages. Have to wait for it to cycle out of the 7 day.
Let's hope for some good news.
