You wouldn't happen to be the disgraced Igy, would you?
We've been over this multiple times with Igy. There is a very strong positive correlation between obesity rates and Trump voting rates at ever level - state, county...
Obesity is one of the best predictors of someone being a Trump voter.
Shows the size of the federal workforce over time.
We're being told we have too many government workers and we need to remove them to cut costs.
But the data...
2023 we had about 2.93 million federal workers (this excludes military).
Go back 20 years and we had 2.77 million.
Go back 40 years and we had 2.91 million.
Most of the highest numbers on this page were during the Reagan years where there were over 3 million federal workers.
Anyway, in 1983 we had around the same number of federal workers but the USA was like 233 million people. We've added 100 million people to the USA but kept the federal government at around the same level of employees.
I'm sure productivity has increased, blah blah, blah.

How would the US react if China overthrew the Mexican government and began installing Chinese covert operations bases along the US Southern Border, then announced a military alliance between China and Mexico to begin placing Chinese bases and missiles within range of the US?

Lets continue with your thought experiment.
Does it warrant the US invading and taking a large portion of Mexico? In fact the US stealing a large portion of Mexico in response is supremely stupid.
See idiot. Your fantasy explanation for Russia's actions doesn't make any sense.
People like *some* relays—those we have currently. They are quick and exciting and all out. The only people who want DMR or other distance relays are distance runners, but not fans. I would love a 4x mile, but that will never fly. Even I can acknowledge it’s way less exciting than a 4x4. Even 4x800 would lose a lot. Leave relays alone. I was actually think the running program is just fine as is
After listening to the level of BS coming out of Trump's pie hole I have another theory to put forth.
Do you remember in Trump 1.0 that Trump had adults around him that would strenuously try to educate him on world events, diplomatic strategies, national security risks? These "normies" had to fight a battle against whatever Trump had rattling around his brain and the false sh!t he was learning after spending hours in front of Fox news. Many of Trump's own people testified that this was the case.
Theory:
IN Trump 2.0 there are no adults in the room. None. Nobody is pushing back against the crazy conspiracies Trump is taking in. He is repeating every false things he reads. From millions of fraudulent 200 year old Social Security payments to Zalenski stealing all the money and having a 4% approval rating. He is now repeating Russian propaganda from the oval office word for word.
On top of that, Trump will keep checking out. He is coming up on 80 years old and wants to be at the golf course every day. He is pissed off at anything that causes him to have to govern and to think. That is why he will delegate more and more to co-president Musk.
Thank you for posting this! Your assessment is absolutely spot on.
Eight years ago, Trump appointed people into key personnel positions who were well-qualified. Many of them were fired because they had the audacity to tell him that he can't (or shouldn't) do something.
This time around, he has selected people who are often overtly underqualified (like Hegseth), but they are ready and willing to be MAGA sycophants. What could go wrong?

That did actually happen. In 1962 the Soviets tried to install nuclear weapons in Cuba.
It was resolved diplomatically and despite plans being drawn up, the United States didn't invade Cuba and trigger World War III
How much history do Americans learn in school? Putting trust in a few people at times when people feel they are poor is a classical thing that has happened over and over again in the past. Strange how some people don't seem to learn. Einstein said it was stupid to do the same thing again and again and except a different result.
So why do many Americans put their trust in a few people and let them have a lot of power? You should never trust people with power like that. Then it is better to divide that power between more people- like a normal democratic government.

There are two things at play with Trumps woefully unqualified appointments.
1. Trump loves to hire people with criminal baggage. That way he can keep a choke collar on them if they stray. (See Eric Adam’s)
2. NOBODY with integrity or principles would come anywhere near accepting a job in this administration. Like you said they all saw lives destroyed during Trump 1.0 when they dared uphold the rule of law or the constitution.

She put out some raw numbers with zero context. She didn’t indicate the pay and benefits of a government employee then and now, or the budgets of their departments.
What is the total federal budget now compared to 1980? Hint. It’s much bigger even inflation adjusted
