You say I haven’t stated my position on vaccines, yet you state that my posts on this thread are responsible for killing 400k Americans and an untold number of people worldwide.
Perhaps you should post as 2600bro. Maybe he’ll make more sense. LOL
You’re clearly an antivaxxer with your glazing of Chokervic and amplification of other antivaxx posters. But when actually forced to lay out your position you refuse.
You also take the 400k remark quite personally which suggests you don’t want to be seen as an antivaxxer. But you are. Oh well!
My ridiculing of you about your “Chokervic” (I assume you mean Djokovic) statements last week is your evidence that I killed 400k Americans? Thats a lot of killing in a week’s time.
Of course I take it personally when someone says I’m responsible for 400k deaths. That’s a bold statement.

It’s a true statement. Your antivaxxer sentiment is clear. You’ve contributed to 400k deaths. I’m sorry that’s upsetting but I’m all about personal responsibility.
Fisky you forgot about 4) the studies were done but antivaxxers ignored them
See: the first post in this thread which shows that COVID was dangerous beyond the elderly and the sick.
See: tons of clinical and observational studies showing the vaccine does not kill people
This is a chart from a 2023 study "Psychological profiles of anti-vaccination argument endorsement". 1 & 3 from above map pretty well to the conspiracy axis and 2 maps to the alternative epistemology axis in that the poster's trusted sources are not the CDC or other mainstream agent.
While I would not claim the CDC's response to be flawless or anything near that, it's also not clear that any level of additional compilation of data would have effectively convinced many vaccine skeptics. That is, I don't think the "information deficit model applies", rather that vaccine skepticism is/was largely driven by cognitive and social factors rather than the quality of data from the CDC or similar agents. To the specific post, it's difficult to imagine how more data from an agency which one considers unreliable is going to change one's mind.

You said before I was responsible for all 400k deaths. Now I’m not responsible for all of them? What changed? What percentage would you assign to me?

Yes you bear some responsibility - I never said you slaughtered them all yourself! Just that you contributed.
You’ll have to talk to sub9 about the %age points. He’s the expert in parcelling out blame
“ardent deep stater” and “WE WON.” Thank you. Thank you for finally proving all of my points. This dude is clueless🤡🤦♂️.
The measles girl who died of mycoplasma pneumoniae because she was malnourished and not fully immunocompetent is EXACTLY the type of person who SHOULD be vaccinated. Again, you’re proving my point with this case.
You deny that unvaccinated migrants have introduced TB and measles into our communities, speaking of intellectual dishonesty? Very interesting that you progressive Democrats always seem to ignore that issue, most notably during COVID.
You’re so focused on the cause of death because it strengthens the case for mass vaccination? Hey, good - thanks for coming around. Welcome to the deep state
I’m focused on the cause of death because I believe a fully transparent media is necessary to stave off the existential threats to Democracy the Democrats, like you, were so worried about vis a vis Trump. We’ve sorrily lacked that the past five years. When a CBS edits a presidential nominee’s interview to present a careful curated version of a terrible candidate, you know you’ve lost the plot.
Had these same media simply emphasized that this poor girl died of a secondary infection after acquiring measles because she was malnourished and not fully immunocompetent, and, therefore, she’s exactly the type of person who SHOULD be vaccinated, then there would be no issues. None.
I’ve never, even once, been against “mass vaccination.” I just don’t believe in forcing it on everyone, quite unlike yourself. I don’t believe in forcing anyone to violate their right to medical autonomy, especially when it comes to taking a novel, not fully, in vivo vetted vaccine platform. That’s it! Simple. Especially in *relatively* lower risk groups.
Now, you want to take a Covid vaccine, then do what 2600 bro proudly did and championed a year ago. Get Novavax! Easy. If the former head of the CDC won’t give out the mRNA vaccines anymore because of the plethora of problems he’s witnessed, that’s all we need to hear. But Novavax is a great and viable option.
You demand “intellectual humility” and a full response to all of your questions; yet you never respond in kind. You cherry pick what you want to respond to and always think you’re making a “cheeky” point, the domain of an intellectually dishonest, disingenuous, narcissist fool.

Glad you're on team vax! Great to have you :)
I'll put another tally in the "anti-vaxxers convinced to switch sides by Harambe" ledger.
But seriously, you seem to be trying to thread a contrarian needle here. We agree on most things but you need try and act indignant about stuff like minor differences in long term antibody titer from mRNA vs protein subunit vaccines (protection against severe disease is the same!)... or whether airlines can fire employees for being stupid etc.

But you agree everyone should be vaccinated against measles, right? Why all the extra steps? The girl died of measles.

Right on queue. Man, I’ve gotten into the mind of Harambe (it’s quite empty in here).

Has zero to do with Harambe… if anything, you two make me not want to be on “Team Vax,” speaking of indignant.
It’s never not been this way. I’ve never not advocated getting Novavax and I’ve told you my kids have all of their vaccinations, besides Covid and influenza, albeit with a delayed schedule. That some, including the former director of the CDC, would have reservations about the mRNA vaccines (to the point of not giving them anymore) or the actual origins of the virus doesn’t earn them the right to be called morons.
I’ve also never told anyone not to get vaccinated, ever. But I respect that it’s a personal choice and we do not have the right to coercively violate one’s right to medical autonomy. Period. And it’s normally a non issue for relatively low risk and fully immunocompetent groups, and I can respect people in those groups deciding not to get vaccinated without calling them *stupid*. Easy button.

It’s not hard to do. The dude is addicted to the abyss and can’t help himself. It’s stronger than his gambling and porn addictions.

Are you telling me that Harambe fabricated a narrative about you in an attempt to support his arguments because they can’t stand on their own? LOL

Harambe- What does your wife think about your porn addiction?
What makes you think he has a wife? He previously referred to 2600bro as a they/them on the last page when he referred the “theirs” questions. Is he really a they/them or is Harambe speaking about himself and his alter ego, who are, in fact, the same person?

I wouldn’t trust anything he says now. Truthfulness is the cornerstone of any meaningful argument. Without it, the very foundation of discourse crumbles into manipulation and deceit. To argue without truth is to wield words as weapons, not tools, and to prioritize winning over understanding - something Harambe has repeated is his goal several times on this thread.
When truth is absent, arguments become hollow shells, devoid of substance. They may dazzle with rhetoric or charm with charisma, but they fail to stand up to scrutiny. Worse, they erode trust. A single falsehood can taint an entire argument, casting doubt on even the most valid points. And once trust is lost, it is nearly impossible to regain.
The consequences of untruthful arguments extend beyond the immediate conversation. They poison the well of public discourse, fostering cynicism and division. They embolden others to abandon truth in favor of expedience, creating a vicious cycle of dishonesty. In the long run, this undermines the very fabric of a community like LRC, as shared truths are replaced by competing falsehoods.
I’m sure Harambe will continue to spew lies in order to find support for his arguments. It’s a shame that in doing so he’s actually weakening the argument he’s trying to make.
. . . because she was malnourished and not fully immunocompetent, . . .
Do you have indications this girl was "malnourished" and/or "not fully immunocompetent" from a credible source?
I’m not sure what constitutes a credible source anymore… CBS 60 minutes? The CDC, whose former director during Covid reinforced why the credibility of the three letter agencies was in question and how it was ok to say you didn’t know all the answers rather than make up the answers? Drudge Report?
It was suggested as a possibility here according to another source:
It doesn’t take an infectious disease specialist to know that mycoplasma pneumoniae (walking pneumonia) doesn’t typically kill a host who isn’t already severely immunocompromised. This is an anomaly. There isn’t absolute proof that malnourishment contributed to it but it’s a reasonable guess (but not proof). I am taking the liberty of extrapolating this, I will readily admit.
Again, this is exactly the type of child who should be vaccinated against measles if we’re going to demand anyone be vaccinated against measles, but this is the Mennonite community so I don’t know how you achieve that. But, again, is any of this even a story if the hospital treats the mycoplasma correctly to begin with? Probably not. Maybe, but probably not.
Again, get your measles vaccine and tell the entire story.
