Info coming out after the FBI cracked Crooks' phone. Looking more like Trump was just a target of opportunity and Crooks was looking for a spectacular way to end his life. He searched for info about depression. He also searched for the date of the Dem convention and downloaded pics of various political figures (Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray, Fanni Willis) and even a member of the royal family.
What is missing so far is any indication that Crooks meant anything by his attempt to assassinate Trump. No manifesto. Online presence was anonymous and no public interactions about politics. Kids from his HS give conflicting accounts about his politics. Some say he was definitely conservative. Others say he just kept to himself and had no political leanings. One student claimed he had a few friends and they were known as the school shooters because they would make threats. A story about a post on a gaming site stating that July 13 would be Crooks' "premier" has been debunked as a fake.
So, when Trump pumps his fist and yells "fight" after the assassination attempt, it looks like there is no one to fight except for a possibly autistic young man who was bullied and an outcast, may have been severely depressed and suicidal and had free access to firearms.

Can't verify if this is 100% accurate until the FBI releases something official, but this 2-minute video purportedly shows the trajectories of all of the shots fired. First shot hit Trump's ear and then one of the spectators. It appears the forklift was hit repeatedly and caused a hose to burst.

There is nobody to fight? What are you talking about? There are thousands and thousands and thousands of Democrats across the country that would take that shot if they knew they wouldn't be caught/killed. But like most Democrats, they are just to plain sissy, and it would be really hard giving up going to yoga class, the ballet, and organic papaya smoothies. Did you even wonder to yourself for a second why MAG@ felt the need to fabricate some cartoon two days after Trump was "shot"?
