The WNBA is on a roll with ticket sales up nearly 2.5x (145%) from last season, and all 12 returning teams are seeing growth. Interest in women's basketball is reaching new heights, with first-time WNBA ticket buyers on StubHub jumping 28% compared to this same time last year.
Do they even play basketball in the WNBA? All I see are articles about interpersonal conflict amongst the players, and the fans. They are all drama 'queens'.
I love how conservatives are all like, "women's sports are so dumb, why do they bother, no one watches them"
But if one transgender girl is runner-up in the triple jump at the state Class 14-B, West Central Division championship in some state they've never been to, suddenly women's sports are the most important thing ever and must be defended.
The WNBA just needs to add a transgender player, ratings would go through the roof. If they did that, and another football player protested the national anthem, I think the WNBA Finals would outdraw the Super Bowl.
