His headline grabbing seems to be more abuse of power and financial crimes.
He's blocking oversight on chunks of this stimulus money. If we followed the money, I wonder where it may lead.

So one of my main social outlets is music. The venues near me have resumed booking shows. I got announcements this week for three future shows. The first one of those is July 16th. I would like to go, and will go if that is an option, but I am holding off on buying tickets. The other two are in September and October. The September one is not one I would go to. The October one is a maybe, but again I am not buying tickets yet.
Wonder if other people are seeing these sorts of signs?
I'm on email lists for a few concert venues and ticket sellers, and I got an email this week promoting two shows in July (7/17 and 7/27). Seems very optimistic and I doubt those tickets are going to sell anytime soon. Looks like all shows into the beginning of June have been cancelled, but shows scheduled for mid-June or later are still on.
Trump is wearing last year’s clothes. We need change & NYC has gone its own way, others will follow.
Mass gatherings, I’m hearing Why take a chance? Why should we pay to put more people in hospital?
One on one, or lower level, socializing is not a nightmare.
Btw had to give this speech to my gal & it wasn’t well received; she wants her 100-milers on single-track trails. Possible dinosaur.

No question billions will be siphoned by his associates and in general by businesses who will take advantage of the lack of oversight. But tzees are ok with that, even if they are uninsured and not getting a trump-stamped check. Truly a bunch of idiots.

it's mostly about race...Rs don't mind taking from the government as long as the taker is a R and white.
They really don't. They have absolutely no outrage for white Rs thieving.
But a black woman getting food stamps? They are legit furious to the bone.
Kudos to the Kiwis.

Our Ohio Republican Governor Mike DeWine announced today that his administration is looking at beginning to open things up here in Ohio May 1. No details yet what that might mean, and he's pragmatic, so if there is a spike in cases, he will for sure postpone that. He has done a great job so far, and as a result, the flattening of the curve here in Ohio is dramatic. It is so hard to know what the right thing to do is, but, based on the data we have here in Ohio, I'm betting some things will open. I think schools should remain closed for the rest of the year, because that's a virus spreading waiting to happen, and while they might fare well due to their youth, students could bring it home to people who are older and compromised.

Our state has already cancelled schools through the end of the year. Our shelter in place order is through June 10. I don't think that is going to be shortened.
I was more curious about whether businesses were scheduling NEW things. Almost every show through the middle of June is already cancelled, I think a few they haven't officially announced a cancellelation because they are trying to reschedule.
stock market up 3% on good clinical news from gilead

It seems that Trump has allowed the digital stimulus checks to be confiscated by banks.

TBF I'm sure that stimulates the digits of the bankers themselves.

I can’t argue with that
Trump is talking about reopening with another one of his tiring “... great again” acts. How can Phase 1 involve reopening when you are not even testing many people and don’t really even understand how intense the problem is?

The trial didn’t seem that solid though. It smells like a big pump and dump to me but I hope it’s something.
If it’s me, I don’t name a drug after the Devil/Deceiver.
Remdesivir?
It’s early but DOW futures currently up over 750 points. It's clearly not a "open it all up" free for all. Sensible measures rule the day.
Thanks President Trump!
