And the Republicans that benefit from Obamacare get to keep it and be happy, even if they say they don't want it.
People seem to think there will be an angry wave of Democrat voters sweeping in and voting for Democrat senators, but like you said the math is in favor of the Republicans.
If Democrats lose even 2 battleground states. It's important to look at the voting results from the last time this senate class was up (2012). That was a presidential election year, and Democrat senators in IN, MT, MO, ND, OH and WV won with less that 55% of the vote. And this was the year of Todd "legitimate rape" Akin and Richard "rape is gift from God" Mourdock! Not to mention that Heitkamp won by only a couple thousand votes. How different do you think the voter turnout will be in comparison to 2012?

All correct. In each of the contested seats, the Democratic candidate has to make a compelling case, AND in some cases, flip the district. Not easy.
IMO, best case scenario for the Dems is a very narrow majority in one house. That's the best case for Democrats. Republicans have a much easier path to strengthening a majority in at least one house.

The most basic skill of any manager is to be able to hire the right person for the job. Trump obviously lacks that skill. You really need to look no further than the fact that Trump hired a foreign agent as our National Security Advisor.
But there have been so many other firings and resignations. And it's only been six months.

And I would say that a good businessman knows when to take advice and when to make his own decisions. Because ultimately, if you make the wrong hire, it's your own fault.

What I really like about the current level of back-stabbing dysfunctionality is that soon goober Jeff Sessions will get the heave-ho right after he is replaced with another inbred fifth generation parasite. Thus the number two backwards welfare colony in the entire country will lose three terms worth of very precious Senate seniority.

This pattern of longevity in the Senate has a whole lot to do with places like Mississippi extorting a staggering 47 percent of their operating income from the educated productive part of the country every year at tax time. (Make that every year since 1866, I'd sure like to see anyone pull that stunt off anywhere in the private sector?) Also with how they had kept all their own military bases when the Cold War ended but the blue states did not.
While they sanctimoniously lectured their blue state benefactors on "fiscal conservatism" every step of the way of course. When in reality every dollar they send into Washington comes right back to them with another two dollars pasted to the top of it.
What with 20 percent of their own state's population on Food Stamps no less. Plus an absolutely absurd close to 10 percent of the six toed cracker apes who live there gleefully retired on SSI "Disability" nowadays, often in their early thirties and of course watching Fox all day long.
(So many that all those unemployable TrumpChumpâ„¢ leeches had already torched their way right through the 85 year old SSI Disability trust fund and that has all happened just since 2011 as well.)
Politics and Fox-cultivated insecure racist ignorance aside; this situation of deluded "Disability" dependency persists only because you can actually live on $500-$700 a month down there and you certainly can't do that in Massachusetts or Illinois.

I'm not convinced Trump is a bad businessman. You can be a businessman and not have to manage anyone or run a substantial organization. Trump is definitely a good salesman, which is part of being a good businessman. He sold the American public the notion that he would be a good POTUS. Trump did increase his personal wealth at a slightly lower rate than the S&P 500 return, so he's perhaps a mediocre businessman, but nothing special.
On the other hand, I am quite convinced that he is a terrible manager. Look at how he deals with conflict management. He hides by tweeting and bullying his employees. Rather than owning up to his poor decisions, he blames others. He makes rash decisions and doesn't seem to keep his team informed. Instead of hiring talented and experienced individuals, he puts in place family and friends with absolutely no experience. Read any book on management and you will realize this is a disaster waiting to happen.
I voted for Trump and everyday something comes up that makes me realize what a terrible mistake I made.
If I knew the Republicans would control both houses, I would have definitely voted for Clinton.
I am ashamed of my choice. This guy is whacko and all of his choices are nuts.
