Turns out, Trump was getting his information from a dubious source: Gateway Pundit, a right-wing opinion site that, in a recent post on Cuomo and ventilators, pointed to an obscure state report on planning for pandemics.

As I’ll discuss in minute, the claims about the report were terribly misleading, at best. I’d say they were blatantly dishonest.

AGip - my original source was not that right-wing site. I heard it from more reputable sources but only copied and pasted from that site. I heard that from fairly reputable sources. I can of course do some researching but it seems very credible.

The Cuomo Administration rejected the purchase of the ventilators and as The New York Times reported they focused on lotteries and death panels instead.

At its most severe, coronavirus attacks the lungs, making it impossible to breathe without a ventilator. Landing in the hospital on a ventilator is bad. But worse is being told you can’t have one. After learning that the state’s stockpile of medical equipment had 16,000 fewer ventilators than New Yorkers would need in a severe pandemic, Gov. Andrew Cuomo came to a fork in the road in 2015. He could have chosen to buy more ventilators. Instead, he asked his health commissioner, Howard Zucker to assemble a task force and draft rules for rationing the ventilators they already had.

That task force came up with rules that will be imposed when ventilators run short. Patients assigned a red code will have the highest access, and other patients will be assigned green, yellow or blue (the worst) depending on a “triage officer’s” decision. In truth, a death officer. Let’s not sugarcoat it. It won’t be up to your own doctor.

Cuomo could have purchased the additional 16,000 needed ventilators for $36,000 apiece or a total of $576 million in 2015. It’s a lot of money but less than the $750 million he threw away on a boondoggle “Buffalo Billion” solar panel factory. When it comes to state budget priorities, spending half a percent of the budget on ventilators is a no brainer.

Now the pandemic is actually here. Cuomo’s grim reaper rules will be applied. New York City’s deputy commissioner for disease control Demetre Daskalakis is anticipating “some very serious difficult decisions.” So far, in New York City, 1 out of every 4 people with a confirmed case has been hospitalized, and 44% of them have needed a ventilator.

four people died in Benghazi and it was years of multiple investigations.

Trump's poor governing cost the lives of thousands of civilians and he doesn't take any responsibility and certainly Mitch will not do any investigating.

Maybe Senate Majority Leader Klobuchar will though.

There are men behind bars because of that investigation. Former government officials and associates of the president.

They are behind bars because of process crimes or crimes unrelated to Trump campaign. None of them were indicted for colluding with Russia.

It's like Ken Starr investigating Whitewater scandal and found Bill had lied about bl*wjob.

Their Republican Governor followed Trump and delayed shutdowns.

If they come out of this with minimum cases and a steady economy, Trump should win that big swing state.

It’s a pretty big service and tourist based economy.

Florida is going to be very tough for Tiny. Too many of his voters have died or will die before election day.

The young voters will be motivated by the lack of employment and the difficulty of filing for unemployment in that state.

1. Wrong. How many people have plead guilty/been convicted/are in jail because of Mueller? Trump was found to have obstructed justice, Mueller felt a sitting president can't be indicted (that's debatable).

2. Wrong again. Congress found that Trump abused power and obstructed justice. Dems impeached, Reps in the Senate didn't think it merited removal from office. A very predictable result. But we all know what happened, we can all decide for ourselves whether that bothers us.

3. Admittedly, not sure where the emoluments lawsuits stand right now. I think the real problem with those lawsuits wasn't so much the substance of the claims, but the fact that the plaintiff's didn't have standing to sue. That says nothing about whether Trump actually violated the emoluments clause.

4. If you don't think that Trump is/was a sexual predator, your head is in the sand.

5. Nobody can say whether he committed financial crimes until his tax returns are released. Just remember what one of his sons said - "we don't need any money, we can get all the funding we want from our Russian backers" We do know that he violated election laws by paying off Stormy and McDougle, and not reporting the payoffs on his FEC disclosure forms.

On the other hand, he spent years getting robots like you worked up with the "lock her up" chants, and then wasted taxpayer money having his DOJ investigate for two years, and they actually did come up with nothing.

And after whining about busloads of out of state voters flooding in to NH to vote illegally in 2016 (because he couldn't quite come to terms with the fact that Hillary beat him there), he wasted more taxpayer money setting up a Voter Fraud Commission headed by none other than Kris Kobach ( a guy that even Republicans now wish would just go away). Even NH Republicans were saying that there was no significant voter fraud, but Trump pressed on. And what happened? The commission found nothing and just kind of faded away.

For a guy who cries about being the victim of witch hunts so often, he sure has launched a few of his own.

Tell that to roger stone when his time comes.
