Actually I understand your frustration at the Trumpists refusal to respond to any negative information about Trump. I agree with that and should have been cleared in my post. My two points were 1) Trump will be the most hated man in America (even more hated than he is) and 2) Enough voters will see how Trump tanked the economy and failed in responding appropriately to Covid and will easily be defeated.

FWIW, this is where I got the data from. It pulls from the GA Dept of Public Health numbers. If you look at the data links to the GDPH, deaths fgo from 229 to 329 on 4/6-7.

I didn't catch it before, but the 4/6 GDPH report states that the increase was from additional labs reporting and improvements from other labs.

Their data is off. If you look at their latest screen shot it has total Georgia deaths at on 4/7 as 294, which is the number I have. But they are reporting a total of 329 on that day.

My guess is that their screen scraper is not working properly. I've been keeping track manually, which has its own potential problems, of course.

He then presided over a popular war effort to defend Kuwait against an invasion by Iraq.

He had an average approval rating of 60.9 % and it went as high as 89%.

The economy stumbled in his re-election year and he only managed 168 electoral votes and 37% of the popular vote to Bill Clinton's 370 electoral votes.

Now Trump has been below 50% (often in the low 40s) his entire presidency even as the economy was humming along and hitting record stock and unemployment numbers.

He is going to try to get re-elected while the country possibly goes through its worst economic collapse ever.

And he's facing a likable moderate candidate who appeals to blue collar workers and never-Trump conservatives while also carrying a base frothing at the mouth to vote against the ever unlikable Trump.
