You say that, chaotic slavic mentality has no place in Western society. I've read history books that say some Western/Central European nations had similar thoughts in the 1930's/40's. How did that work out for western, central and eastern European nations.

Finely, prosperity will come to Ukraine once the war is over. Yes there will be entities looking to invest in Ukraine. But to suggest that somehow western nations will "absorb Ukraine" is ridiculous. This is what Russia is trying to do and the West is trying to prevent.

Russia is dead either way. The life expectancy of Russian men is like 59 years. They don't have children, and diseases like HIV are rampant.

Russia is on the precipice of a demographic decline they cannot recover from.

Absorbing Ukraine may have kicked the can down the road a decade but the writing is on the wall and Russia in on the way out.

The only question is how crazy is Putin and will he try to take the world with him.

You poor naive sap. West is controlled by the rich and the rich will absorb Ukrainian economy and resources just like they did in Lithuania and other "developing" countries. The rich do not care about the poor. They care about growing their businesses and acquiring cheap resources. I myself can buy 5-6 properties in Kiev center at a fraction of cost now and so can anyone. Once Ukraine becomes EU, an unimaginable amount of investors will buy everything Ukraine has to sell. And believe, a country recovering from war will sell much more than they should.

Of course, Russia wants the same thing. Either side smells blood in Ukraine and they're coming to take all they got.

Lolly, I'm an American. I live in what's called a "Melting Pot Country." My fellow Countrymen and Country women and myself have been exposed to people migrating from every corner of the globe. I think we have a better understanding about people from all corners of the world than perhaps you have.

And please don't lecture me about how well I know or don't know about people living in other parts of the Country. We all mix and mingle. We do not for the most part live in a bubble or safety zone. We have an Inter-State Highway system. We can travel from state to state without having to stop at borders and showing travel documents. Not every country can claim that.

Buddy, you can't be this dumb. If NATO stations it's missiles in Ukraine, the story will be that UKRAINE shot them at Russia and Russia will have to shoot back at Ukraine and not the US.

Please tell me you do understand why a country would be interested in stationing missiles across the ocean rather than shooting them from home?
