If you look it says non paid and the descriptions essentially say you follow the coaches of each group and learn from them. so they are looking for free help and giving young kids a chance to get into college coaching. That’s what it looks like.

Is the CU Boulder job a new position? Did someone leave? Odd to have an associate head coach title and basically just be the director of ops? Will they get to coach? Anyone have insight into that position?

The slashes to the field events is glaring and alarming. ADs are going after the low hanging fruit, so they can pay their prized football/basketball players. This just shows how undervalued the field events are to others.

Anyone familiar with the program or JUCO know if this is worth applying to? Wife is from AZ so would be appealing to move closer to home for her but don't want to walk into a bad situation.

If it is Paradise Valley, it's an okay job. Dave Barney has been the Head Coach since the program started in 1995. He's had a lot of success both in cross country and moving athletes on to the next level. It's a good location with facilities already in place. I just thought Dave had a few more years until he was retiring.

Yes its Paradise Valley Community College, full title on the job listing is "
Head Coach who serves as the women’s and men’s Track & Field Coach and Coordinator of Cross Country". The link didn't post the way i thought it would, thought it would have the job name in the preview. Sorry about that!20 -
