This study was posted earlier in support of vaccination.
Instead, it's a great illustration of why you should never base major decisions off a study's conclusions without looking at the data itself. In this case, they looked only at covid and ignored the MUCH bigger problem their study uncovered.
That problem was the dramatic rise in non-covid excess deaths AFTER the vaccine became available to youths.
Excess death data wasn't in their study, but their source for deaths was in Footnote 1. After some data mining, here is what I found at the CDC WONDER data site. For simplicity, I chose the age 5-9 cohort to evaluate.
Annual deaths averaged 2,331 in 2018 and 2019. Deaths declined in 2020 to 2,210, increased to 2,406 in 2021, and increased to 2,503 in 2022. I then looked at the study's covid death rates for the 5-9 cohort (0.4/100,000)... about 16 covid deaths in the 5-9 cohort in 2022.
Here is what I found for the 5-9 cohort.
Excess deaths in 2022 vs 2018-2019 average: 171
Covid deaths in 2022: 16
Non-covid EXCESS DEATHS: 171-16 = 155
In 2022, excess deaths should have gone DOWN because the vaccine was available, but instead, deaths went UP!
This is the big story. The vaccine became available for 5-9 year-olds at the end of 2021. In 2022, non-covid excess deaths exceeded covid deaths by a ratio of 155/16.
Something is killing kids at TEN TIMES THE RATE of covid, yet it's being ignored and clumped in with heart attacks, etc.
I think it's the vaccine, but you can make your own call.
