Unless you are prepared to say with certainty that Trump's motivation is more about "something to hide" than it is about his tendency to think that he is simply above ordinary men and hence should not be subject to (nor have to answer to) this "witch hunt" then we are left with:
MAYBE Donald has something to hide
MAYBE he does not but is motivated to act this way for other reasons, one plausible one being his god delusion.
Of course if you are so certain about Trump's motivation then I would suggest that you revisit a certain 100% guarantee provided by one of your cohort that did not quite come to pass.
Sorry, life just isn't as simple as you may wish. So the correct answer is indeed, 'maybe'.
You are correct. That's why I began my comment with "Possibly."
It's true that there is a lot we don't know.
I do think there is plenty of evidence that Trump does not have a god delusion. To me, it looks like just the opposite. Trump seems to be very insecure and in desperate need of affirmation and adulation. Someone who considers themselves to be extremely powerful does not crave such things.
Agreed.
To me Donald appears not to be someone who "considers himself to be extremely powerful". Rather, he appears to be someone who thinks that others should consider him to be extremely powerful, brilliant, etc.
Your comment that "Trump seems to be very insecure and in desperate need of affirmation and adulation" is spot on. It is also consistent with a possible "nothing to hide" motivation for wanting to quash any non-adulatory investigation into his affairs.
