Hey don’t forget James Warnock’s new shill “SAP Energy”, apparently adding salt to maple syrup is an innovation these days.. “the only gel in the world you can take pre run, on your oats, and post run” is a niche selling point though I’ll give him that, bet the Maurten marketing team are kicking themselves
Philly is finally running again...Yay!! Wonder when she'll next be taking a big swing at a race!
My guess is that she’ll film a “Back to the Scene of the PB” video and run Berlin in September. It makes perfect sense, and it will be interesting to see whether she can hit an elite time again. Otherwise, I’m not sure how long she can keep the Olympic dream narrative alive. I suspect she’s already scripted a video along the lines of: “I failed, and you know what, that’s okay.”
The trouble with doing Berlin again is its a real honest measure of improvement (or lack of) and is she brave enough to try that now.
Jesus Christ is Lord and His Name needs to be revered, not used in vain like you did. Remember, He is royalty and died for you regardless if you believe so or not. Do better next time.
Jesus Christ man imagine spouting this rubbish in the big 25

I bet she will try london if she gets an elite field spot.
I'd personally be surprised if she runs London again any time soon. As was said at the time, not running with the sub-elite men basically turns it into a solo time trial for the elite women.
Her criteria will be somewhere flat and fast, with a mixed start to allow lots of mixed groups to form. Ideally somewhere a bit on trend too. Don't know where will tick those boxes - maybe Valencia?

Oh Valencia would fit, except you can’t say “Imagine how much faster I’d run at Valencia” if you actually ran Valencia.
This is incredibly painful to watch 30 year olds do this for views. I thought Hugo was a bit more tolerable but the influencer life has swallowed him up.

On the other hand: if she gets an elite spot at london and is fit, she needs to start there for sponsoringoptions and so on.
London and from GB puts her in some kind of spotlight (tv time and so on), but berlin and be between 10 subelite men....no

Berlin or Amsterdam as an alternative are where she should go.
If she focuses on building mileage and some speed early in the year she'll be fine. She just needs a little patience. Her American coach didn't/doesn't suit , he pushed her too hard too soon. BS on the fall causing all the issues - that was stress due to mileage + too much intensity before adaptation.
Girl is talented, she can absolutely drop her marathon time if done right and the Olympics isn't actually unrealistic if based on pure talent.... except she isn't patient and hasn't a stable coaching set up , so at this point it's not likely.

Not sure if she/the team behind is sooo patient to wait 10 month for the next big race.

If I were a coach, I wouldn't be touching that with a ten foot pole.

There is a glitch in the matrix that allows this s**t to be called "content" and attract brand deals. Yes (before anyone says), I know it's my choice to watch it; however, I find it an interesting cultural shift.
Even Ben Fenton seems to be trying to pump out this sort of content on Insta with his recent, seminal "how I turned a lads holiday into a training camp" Instagram series.
If Sir Tim Berners-Lee knew the web would descend into trust fund kids prancing around Battersea Park in crop tops and funny short skirt hybrid things and Fenton flinging mad bants with the lads, he would not have invented the web.

Not sure if she/the team behind is sooo patient to wait 10 month for the next big race.
Not sure are you being sarcastic or not. What you should infer is the next marathon, not necessarily the next big race.
But yes Im actually not sure if they have the patience required to get it right.

she really needs to get to work on her 10km and half times, her half is mediocer and you will not get faster than a 2:25 marathon until you can run well under 70mins
she could also do with another summer of track and her wasted marathon blocks will have taken away alot of her previous pace.
surely she cant afford to wait til autumn to have a go but there isnt alot on offer in spring, maybe Boston or some rogue American time trial race? she definitely wont do london after her pointless trundle round this year
Ben Fenton with absolutely no idea whatsoever what LT1 is when posting on Strava. This is what also got him confused pre London and why he fell apart.
Scary guys like this pass on absolutely duff information to a wide amount of followers. Basically did a NSM classic workout and thinks he's cruising along at LT1 and 180bpm. Farcical.
What's his max HR? His workout doesn't seem that far off where it should be for LT1 as far as I can see
