I see you’re not handling your depression so well. How’s that awesome trump stock market doing? Don’t worry, you even said no matter what else he fks up he will have market performance to lift him to victory. LOL. I know you’re going to cower and leave when he loses so I’m going to keep reminding you until then that your house is burning down. Oh yeah and that you continue to be trumpanzee.
Look at the futures.
Serious? Can’t read a basic chart. Pull out the daily S&P chart and explain to us what you see.

A pandemic us not simply a matter of statistical measure. It is above all a medical crisis and in this latest instance one we have never previously experienced. No pandemic is the same as any other, and 2020 is not the same as any previous point in history. The social and economic consequences are enormous. The experts are struggling to come to terms with what it means and yet you repeatedly keep trying to second-guess them to promote your own utterly amateur views, which have largely been to minimise the seriousness of what we are experiencing. You could just as easily be telling NASA how they might put a man on Mars. Your self-indulgence informs no one and actively misleads.
I am not aware of any expert that I have second guessed. That's going to infuriate you, but it's true, I think.
Do you think, for example, that no expert is in her lab looking at these numbers and wondering..'.hmmm...I wonder why the German experience with this is different than that of Lombardy's experience? Or why Lombardy is so different than Naples?'
Should she not look into it, out of fear of minimizing the plague?
Your conjecture about what the health experts may be doing is ill-informed and naive. They are actively seeking worldwide to understand every aspect of an issue of the gravest seriousness, and it is fatuous for you to imagine you are asking questions they aren't. We are regularly updated by their reports. No one has all the answers yet on what we are facing but the one thing we can safely rely on is that you aren't going to come up with any answers that haven't been confirmed by those actually equipped to deal with these things. You are utterly out of your depth. Like Trump.
Agip is a just a troll. He crunches a few numbers & joyfully proclaims that few will die.

As of 10:08PM EDT: 80 dead out of 4,300 people in the US who have tested positive. That comes out to a 1.86% mortality rate. This media driven fear mongering has got to stop.
Again, we will NOT have 1M in the US dying by April.
https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/coronavirus-updates-cases-fears-deaths-us-latest-2020-03-16/1) You do not understand the definition of mortality rate. The fatality rate so far in the US is 1.86%. The mortality rate in the US is 0.000024 % (80/330,00,000).
2) Roughly 3,200 of those 4,300 people who have tested positive have done so in the last 9 days. Most of them have not yet had time for the disease to have run its course. Sadly, the percentage of those 4,300 people who will die from the disease will ultimately be far above 1.86%. It is highly likely that the percentage of deaths from those 4,300 will be 4% or higher.
3) No person that I am aware of has ever said that there will be 1 million deaths in the US by the end of April. What has been claimed is that there would be over 1 million cases in the US before the end of April UNLESS SUBSTANTIAL EFFORTS WERE MADE TO SLOW THINGS DOWN. Such efforts have begun. It remains to be seen whether they will be enough.
4) You seem to be confused as to the difference between "media driven" and "fact driven". Don't feel bad, it is a common weakness among your cohorts.
It is pretty remarkable how dumb both Rigged and Sally are for people who are such prolific posters here.

This is a pretty sad example of how the senate functions under the McConnell leadership.
The country needs help and a proactive response from the federal government but cannot rely on it.
It will be costly to delay.

Is that really Trump's fault? Dont hospitals order the tests? So is it a matter of supply? Logistics? Price? Maybe a failing of the US healthcare system in general?
Alan
Nice point, Alan. Liberals want to blame EVERYTHING on Trump. There is a system in place to handle al these contingencies. Please quit blaming Trump for EVERYTHING. The healthcare system should be well-versed in handling such a thing. You Liberals of course want to attribute any snafu to Trump just to damage his reputation.
Trump is directly responsible for deaths in the US and the increase in spread. His handling of this virus has been unbelievably bad. Slow to accept the word of experts, etc. But, he fired the US Pandemic Response Team, so so much for the system in place. Sorry, but he and you can not wriggle your way out of that one. He was all about firing as many people associated with Obama and his administration as he possibly could, and he did not replace those people.
Did he cause the pandemic? Of course not. His leadership though has been non-existent. He made fun of the coronavirus early on. Dr. Fauci had to correct him in a meeting that was being broadcast. There has not been a president in my lifetime who has dropped the ball as badly as Trump has on this.
We are in a Trump stock market crash, and you are an idiot.
Markets gone up & down fast, then fall below 20,000. This will silence sally & agip faster than anything.

Yep. "Look at the futures," Rigged said earlier. A simpleton looking for any way to make his hero look good. The Trump stock market crash continues.

Or, you know, you can just stop posting jibberish every single day on the same thing after being told and shown repeatedly that you don't know what you are talking about.
your choice.

I think it's unlikely that Fauci didn't "get it". But there has been a noticeable shift in tone by the president. Fauci was not free to say what he really believes until now. Tiny would have fired him if he said that two weeks ago.

here's a biopsy of why the US messed up the testing rollout.
It blames the CDC - they made several errors.
The basic US system is to let the CDC develop the first test, because they get the data first.
So we all waited for the CDC to develop the test. Private companies sat back and waited.
The CDC fouled it up multiple times.
And the CDC never went to private industry and said 'go make a test!'
Where's germany's success was in getting private tests out into the wild very fast.

Don't be one of those. No evidence that vaccines cause autism.
