Yes. Working from home, gyms closed, more drinking, more staying home, more netflix, more video games, less sports, more Zoom, more of basically everything that causes heart disease. Don't need to be a brain surgeon to figure that out

I argued throughout the covid thread that the CDC could have addressed many anti-vaxx concerns by assigning a few interns to generate data studies to show that these concerns were unfounded. The CDC failed in its mission to be transparent and inform the public.
The CDC proved to be woefully inept during the COVID pandemic. Public trust in the CDC has declined dramatically in this bloated organization.
By bloated, I mean the CDC has 13,000 full time employees(!) and 12,000 contractors and part time workers. How could it possibly not have enough manpower to address each of these vaccine controversies as they arose?
There are three possibilities and chances are that they all applied. 1) Walensky was a political-appointee puppet and just did what she was told to do. 2) The CDC was inept 3) The studies were done, but the data did not support the mantra that the vaccine was safe and effective.
Monarez has a strong background in AI. Hopefully after DOGE looks at the CDC, its workforce will be dramatically reduced and reorganized to focus on its core mission... disease control.

Also, you seem positively giddy for a “political agnostic.” Is this suppose to be upsetting for us somehow? Weldon never had the votes to get through, so Trump had to promote someone who could pass bipartisan scrutiny, and she’s stayed above the fray, generally.
Most importantly, those of us who became skeptical of the mRNA vaccines (like the former head of the CDC) are pro-vaccination in general. I know that bothers you to no end, but it’s true. But for the mRNA and flu vaccines, my kids have received the full “schedule,” if delayed. We simply don’t believe in communist, authoritarian mandates like you do. That’s it.
