Another Trump hater weighs in and rips apart Bragg's case.
After reading DA Bragg’s indictment of Trump and accompanying statement of facts, I’m stunned any prosecutor would move forward with this. It’s even flimsier than we were led to believe. Thirty-four stacked counts, bootstrapped to an unstated crime, to manufacture felony charges.
Do any of these Twitterites ever say why they this the case is weak? Or do they just use emphatic words and stomp their feet?
You can read the facts in the link below and make up your OWN mind. Assuming they are true -- and its hard to believe they aren't because there is a clear paper trial corroborating the narrative -- it's a pretty clear case of falsifying business records in pursuit of a conspiracy. I can't see any holes and missing evidence. Trump will undoubtedly claim ignorance of it all, but he did sign the checks and he is on audio tape asking about payments.
Two of the guys who were in on the falsification will testifying how, when and why the documents are IN FACT false. That's a strong case, not a weak one.
It would be interesting to know who Lawyer C and Lawyer D are. They need to lawyer up themselves if they want to keep their bar licenses.
As Lawyer D said to Lawyer A about Defendant-President X: "Sleep well tonight. You have friends in high places." Good grief, isn't the kind of elitest graft and swamp stuff that Trumpers wanted to get rid of in America?
A former NYPD officer has been sentenced to 10 years for charges related to the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol which is the longest sentence yet.WATCH FULL E...
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered Daniels to pay Trump $121,972 in legal fees from a 2018 defamation lawsuit that she filed that was dismissed.
Delays due to Covid lockdowns would more than put this inside the statute of limitations. I'm sure Bragg and his people figured this out before bringing the case.
People who try to bring Trump to account may sometimes underestimate the fanaticism of his supporters, but they typically aren't just "stupid" when it comes to practical matters, no matter how much the Trump faithful wish they were.
Trump-ism may well live on in some form, but Trump himself is in trouble. He will be indicted again, and on more serious charges, and he WILL eventually go to trial on at least one of them. I think this is the point at which even the truest believers will give up the charade of defending him and move on. Since 2015, he's rarely been seen for any length of time in a situation that was entirely outside of his control (maybe when he had Covid?). Trump sitting for hours in a courtroom without being able to say a word will finally reveal to his followers the man behind the curtain.

nothing I've read today suggests that this case should have been brought to the grand jury. From what I can tell so far, it's bogus and should have died. Meaning we give public figures extra space when they are caught in sexual things like this.
On the other hand, that doesn't mean he won't be convicted or that new evidence will be presented that show a serious underlying crime worthy of punishment. We'll have to wait for the trial in 2025, 2026 or whenever.
The most incriminating fact seems to be that trump wanted to stall Stormy until after the election, and see if after the election he could just forget the whole thing and never pay her and let her talk because who cares what she says after the election. That suggests Trump's defense is false - his defense is likely to be that it wasn't a political contribution, it was a personal contribution to save his marriage. But Trump is apparently recorded saying he doesn't care if melania hears about it.
Man we need GA and the Feds to step up here pretty quickly.

You may be right. But the nation will benefit by getting Trumps firehouse of BS into a court of law with people under oath. Also his lawyers off Fox News. The courts have a way of cutting through propaganda crap and conspiracy. Just like they did with Trumps 60 cases of election fraud BS. Just like his business fraud cases.
Trump and Trumpism do very, very bad when there is legal jeopardy for lying.
Hunter might eat his lunch if he was coming off a coke bender, but he would smoke Joe's dope. Joe is senile in early 2023, just imagine November 2024.
I bet you wouldn't bet your life savings on a Trump vs. Biden mental capacity test?! You'd lose.
Biden was always an idiot. He had to repeat 3rd grade.
Biden was near the bottom of his law school class. He plagiarized a significant portion of one of his law school term papers. He stole five pages of a published law review article and submitted it as his own work. That should have gotten him expelled from law school.

You seem like you haven't read the statement of facts.
After you read the document, explain how its bogus.
Does anyone here who think the indictment is bogus actually have a job? If so, go into work tomorrow and fake some financial stuff and file it, circulate it, etc. See what the reaction you get from management is.
