Honest answer: No.
I don't understand what your beef is with this thread when there are so many other ridiculous threads that having absolutely nothing to do with running. There's a thread on Tom Brady that's generated a heated debate. There's a stupid thread on online dating, another on vacuum cleaners, another one on the best elite military forces. Lol. What do those threads have to do with running? Are you going to post your criticism on those threads? You're not forced to click on a thread you don't like, but in this case why don't you jump in on this discussion instead of criticizing it?
I have problems with the other threads as well, but more often than not they are unregistered handles. Who knows if they're the same people or not. These threads come and go because there isn't enough that people can talk about running on this board. It's supported by these extraneous threads that have nothing to do with running. That I have a problem with. I also have a problem with the political trolls who obviously have no one to talk to about their political views IRL, so they decide to take it to message boards (Jamin and The Unkle come to mind).
In this case however we have three (rekrunner, casual observer, armstronglivs) registered accounts. This means that these are three actual people, that have the same debate on a weekly if not daily basis. They use the same points every time. All three are stuck in their own thinking and there is less than a 1% chance that any of them change their mind. It annoys me that they are constantly debating this very niche topic in a very niche sport on a very niche website and end of clogging conversation with "they're doping" or "they aren't doping". Throw Coevett in there too, he does the same thing. I think that its highly likely that a lot of the top athletes are doping. But I don't bring it up in every conversation because it doesn't do anything. It's just annoying and needs to be toned done a bit.
You don't need to respond to every single post that disagrees with your viewpoint.
