This virus is not going away. It is heading south for the winter, and will be mostly dormant in the northern part of the world, It will rear its head up in the north later this year (next flu season).

As have Stanford, Ohio St, Georgia, UC Berkeley, Washington, USC Princeton and many others.

Is there a comparable chart to see where the US is?
agip didn’t notice the beautiful bankruptcy of Korean Air.
Sorry, bankruptcy warning as it lost 80% of international capacity. Asks employees for emergency concessions.

The Trump Admin does not want to know. A U.S. chart would be flattened by Trump's Sharpie based on Trump's Gut Feeling math method (make it up to look good).
Yes, hilariously unproven theory that virus will improve in “summer.”
They forgot it’s not summer everywhere at the same time. Possibly they’ve never been away from home.
In Australia you can buy completely logical maps that show the “Southern” Hemisphere on “top.” The hidden bias is quite interesting.

another hypothetical head to head poll biden v trump and another double digit win for joe.
the last three polls have been +10,+11, +9 for Joe over trump.
Which might clear the electoral college hurdle.
There is no scenario in which a 9-11 point win would not translate to an electoral college victory. I mean, I could draw a map and posit a hypothetical where that could happen, but not in the world we actually live in.
The max realistic scenario for a split popular-electoral vote is somewhere around 5 per cent (maybe 6?)
That said, it is too early for head-to-head polls to be worth much.

agree on all counts. I was sort of sighing out of resignation to the massive structural advantage Rs have right now.

What is scary is that the Trump Admin is pretending that the virus will self-destruct once it gets warmer. If Trump stops funding a virus antidote once cases go down in the U.S. expect another coronavirus disaster next flu season. Thankfully, other world labs are working on solutions. The U.S. will be forced to buy their drugs to get through the season if Trump stops scientists from developing solutions in the U.S.
Australia just passed 100 cases btw. Of course it IS summer there, a winter expansion would be quite tragic.
Short the ASX agip, be an @sshole. If people have to die, why shouldn’t you get rich?
Speaking of shorts, Dow drops 1000 pts. “Dead Cat Bounce” was right, I guess.
(Some said trump wouldn’t honor his promise of virus relief.)
Deutsche Bank predicts German recession. The best-prepared country in the world, as far as coronavirus.
Trump's payroll tax relief plan will be "targeted". Who get chosen by the Chosen One will likely be politically based. If you are self-employed, or a contract employee, you may not get tax relief.
It will interesting to see how Trump's payroll tax relief is implemented. Not paying part of a payroll tax is not taxes owed to the government at April 15th unless that tax rates are adjusted, or a tax credit is given.

The gummint should just send checks out to people. Why they mess around with tax cuts is so weak. Just send checks.
Not paying part of a payroll tax is not RELIEF OF taxes owed to the government...

The republicans do not have a massive structural advantage. I mean they do in the Senate, but not in the electoral college. All it takes is a few states to flip and there will be talk of a lasting Democratic majority based on structural factors.
The electoral college map is really unstable, even in this time of super-high partisanship.
Pence will not be on the Republican 2020 November ticket. Trump staffers are already pointing to him as the scapegoat for the coronavirus situation in the U.S.
... aides blamed the vice president’s office, which has taken the lead on the response. “The Office of the Vice President seems way in over their heads,” one White House official said, referring to the coordination and messaging. “They don’t know what they’re doing.”

New 1-year low for the Dow, a mere 0.1% above bear-market figures.
