This really shows that the #1, #2 and #3 wish among dems is to unite and defeat trump.
This poll seems to show that after warren dropped out her supporters went to Joe, not Bernie.
They ideology doesn't matter - Dems desperately want to unite behind the strongest D candidate. Joe has won the nomination so we should all get behind him.

the problem is that entities will use policy as wedge issues to break off a piece of the D party for themselves. You get 4-6 of those entities wedging in and suddenly support in November is weakened.

the other thing that poll shows is Bernie's hard cap at 30. When there were five candidates 30 seemed pretty good...but he could never get over that 30, even as others dropped out. That's the problem with non-moderates. They capture a slice of the electorate but can't get another slice.

Yep. If I remember correctly, the same thing happened to get Trump the nomination. Didn’t he win a lot by getting 30-35% in the primaries? If other candidates had gotten out sooner, the GOP could have avoided the debacle the country is in now.

Bernie can't even get the endorsement of Warren, his ideological twin. And we think he is going to get the Green New Deal and nationalized health insurance through congress?
(it's not a fair line, for many reasons, but there's a kernel of truth in it about bernie's extremism being unpalatable.)
