Trump is persistently pushing his rubbish. All he has to do is just agree with the experts and defer to them... he doesn't need to air his opinion at all and it would make a difference. Every time he opens his out or tweets he makes it worse for himself and harder for the people actually planning for and fighting this thing. Tzees want to just assume that he's going to be criticized either way, but it's clear his lack of leadership is taking a toll and it's getting harder for him to wiggle out of it.

I have to admit I haven't been following the polling on this specific issue. I know healthcare coverage is a priority issue for voters in both parties, but is polling leaning on one specific solution vs another?

It is just something that is very difficult to poll with any accuracy. The results depending almost entirely on how you word the question.

NYT: US potentially more vulnerable to coronavirus economically than China. We’re more urbanized (40% of Chinese are in rural areas). We have more high-dollar professionals engaged in person-to-person business.
Additionally, WHO says there’s no evidence that coronavirus will ease in warm weather like flu.
