This article as posted makes no real sense. The market was at an all time high when Bernie was surging as the front-runner.

Anyway, if the point is that Joe Biden is more acceptable to the wealthy investor class in the democratic party because he will go easier on them. I agree. Great for donations, lousy for driving voters.

I'm sure that is a compelling message to struggling voters in Midwestern Swing states who believe the system is rigged against them. I'm sure we've not seen this dynamic before...

Still, those don't strike me as huge deal breakers, more like typical campaign drama... other candidates have said and done more foolish things.

Good points. Would an AA on the ticket guarantee him a landslide AA vote (better turnout, etc), or does he pretty much already have that and just needs to target white working class and suburban voters?

Bottom line, with his age and occasional "mental lapses", he needs someone fairly young but also experienced, who people feel could step right in if needed, and/or be ready to lead the ticket in 4 years if necessary. Abrams too inexperienced.

I'm still a bit surprised that more older moderates came out for Biden than did young liberals for Bernie. This was a super strong result for Joe, and it could have been even better without the others in his way. A lot of Bernie supporters may stay home, but hopefully many will vote for Biden in sheer disgust of trump. And if they don't, it's a good thing a huge chunk of them are in CA as trump has no shot there anyway. With BB's endorsement, Biden is going to take other states that Bernie is hoping to win.

I think that is driving the older progressives to come out - restore some normalcy to the country with a political veteran that won't further divide us.

Tim Kaine is still available as VP for Biden, because playing it safe worked so well before.

Stacey Abrams is a voting-rights candidate from Georgia, you know, “ground game.”

I think it's pretty clear that the results from yesterday show a Democratic Party that is most highly motivated by the chance to get rid of trump. Who the candidate is..is secondary.

Yeah, I'm hoping this is the dominant motivation. We need the race to be well over before the convention though, otherwise even more bad taste in people's mouths.

Wrong. That's not how you win the WH. It MUST be about the candidate. This is why you will lose in November. Sadly, Quid Pro Joe will do much worse than Cankles.

Bernie is the future but the country is proving not to be ready for it yet. AOC and others will have to carry the torch and find a way, although the changing demographics and growing issues will push the party to adapt dramatically or face a trump-style high jacking. My fear with Bernie is with those 2016 swing states.. while Biden is wildly popular in states like PA. The ground game has obviously been good.

HRC wasn’t greedy fir votes, and it showed from top to bottom. Feel free to win by 10s of millions! Unify the ticket & platform, get your buds in Congress. It’s not that hard.

I think Stacey Abrams is the better choice. Many Blacks will never forgive Harris for her time as a prosecutor.

Just back from my workout! Lot of giddiness around here today. I am chuckling profusely. Just a couple of days ago agip and the rest of you clowns were despondent, distraught and distressed at the prospect of a Bernie Sanders v. Trump presidential election. Now that you Dems have yet again screwed Doc Emmett Brown, ... or rather Bernie, all that is left is for Biden to decide on which curtains he wants for the Oval office. The election is all but over. Who cares whom he picks for the VP. It DOES NOT MATTER. I love it! 4 years ago it was all but over, too. Hillary was likewise picking out the curtains for the Oval office. Yet, something happened as she pranced down the Yellow Brick Road to 1600 Pennsylvania avenue. The "Orange One" came on to the scene. Regular folks maybe better know him as Donald Trump. He took the nation by storm and he is about to take the nation by storm once again.

Biden referred to the big election day as Super Thursday. He thinks his deceased son was Attorney General of the United States. He doesn't know which office he is running for. The Gloves are going to come off in a few months and Sleepy Joe, as Rigged likes to refer to him to, is like 10 years past his prime. His mind is but a thing of the past. Sleepy Joe will not look good when the bright lights come on. Say what you will about the buffoon Donald Trump, but he does well in debates. He is the sitting president. The Dow is up 800 points today and just 2 days ago it was up 1300. Joe Biden has no clue what is going to hit him. I am not sure he has a clue as to which office he is running for. YOu really feel confident in this guy up on the stage?

So far Bernie has lost a net number of votes in state contests that saw higher turnout than in 2016, a drop to the tune of 15%, and he has been getting crushed in the other states.

Translation: looks like a significant chunk those 2016 votes were more anti-Hillary votes than they were pro-Bernie votes. That will make a big difference in November against trump, also considering most Bernie supporters will again vote for the nominee.

Just that small shift of votes away from Bernie in 2020 vs 2016 so far is more than enough to wipe out the margin trump had in swing states. If this performance is replicated in swing states then trump is in big trouble.
