Republican voter suppression is truly evil, immoral and cruel.
Rs in Tx made sure it would be very hard to vote. Because that's what Southern Rs have done for generations. And Southern consevatives for centuries. Go to hell.
https://twitter.com/edlavaCNN/status/1235107988798488583?s=20It's stuff like this that makes every other major democracy and advanced nation in the world shake their heads. It's pure embarrassment for this to be happening in the US. Voter suppression is a horrendous right wing practice, but it continues to be allowed by conservative judges.
States rights!
And it's getting no coverage, but in Oregon Rs have decided that it's their way or no way.
They don't like some pro-environment legislation so R legislators are hiding, so the legislature won't have enough people to convene.
The right wing 'my way or F you' tendencies are on full display, This is why they edge into fascism so easily.
Republicans are anchored to Trump. There is no alternative candidate because they have cancelled all of the republican primaries. If Trump has a massive heart attack--he had a mild attack late last year--they Republicans are hosed. There is not backup plan because that would make Trump and his base very angry with Republican leaders.

Republicans don't like black people voting.

Rs know they are in trouble - you see that in trump's panicky attempts at sliming Biden and all these trial balloons of firing pence and putting Nikki H in his place. They know white suburban women will vote for Joe and that's curtains unless Rs can turn that tide.
BB out.
That's great news. Now Bernie and warren will continue splitting the left vote and Joe will steam home with good momentum.
And of course BB will finance Joe's campaign, at arm's length.
Wow. It is all turning out ok.
If Joe picks Harris as Veep It's game over. D win and maybe take the senate.
Warren wants to be Biden's running mate. She will hang around a bit longer.

Biden is not a good candidate in the general election.

Although to be fair Bberg took away from Biden. But Liz did the left wing no favors by continuing a dead-end campaign.
From my view, I wished Bernie dropped out after his heart attack last year.
That wold have put Warren in better position and maybe she would have had the delegate lead right now.
There was a Bernie panic that lead to Pete and Amy dropping out to help Biden.
I'm not sure that if Bernie dropped before Iowa that there would have been a Warren panic.
We'll never know.
I think Warren was a more acceptable progressive choice than Bernie for moderates.

Obviously we are seeing a concerted effort to shut Bernie down. I am a fan of Bernie and think he could actually pull a bigger turnout WITH full support of the Democrats. However, he is an Independent after all and his campaign has ripped into the moderate Dem strategy. The way out IMO is for us voters to reconcile this issue, not the DNC. As long as they play by their own rules I am fine with candidate alliances to defeat others - that is just natural in politics. A split ticket going into the convention has not worked well for Democrats, so I hope there is a clear front runner well before then. Biden has clear momentum now - esp with that Texas win... and he's got BB and Warren still siphoning votes.

against type, the Dems actually acted as a party...Pete, Amy, Beto all came together and moved to support the party.
Clearly Bernie doesn't consider himself a Democrat so he'll do whatever he wants.
I think Warren is on a feminist mission - to 'persevere' and all that. She really doesn't want to take the last female voice off the campaign trail.
She won't be Biden's veep,..not a good match I think.
Warren't problem is a profound anti-charisma problem. If you are the one she is yelling at you really start to dislike her. In a big tent party that doesn't work. You need to do a lot of sweet talking to keep the party together. She had no idea how to do that.

I told you not to freak out :)
Happy to see consolidation and cannot wait until the full blown attacks on trump begin. I maintain that if Dems pull this off much will be owed to BB. He has finally picked his horse.

BB is out so no siphoning there anymore.
and just a reminder that to my knowledge, Bernie has not at all increased youth turnout. He said he would, but I dont' think it has happened.

I think it's actually a safe play for her. First female VP, and she will actually continue to be an active politician. She has a serious likability problem which I think would be well addressed with the visibility of that position.
My NY Bernie friends are pretty angry today, but I'm reminding them that the alternative is not Hillary and that Biden has consistently polled as best bet against Trump. Biden is a very likable guy but I think he will have to make a genuine effort to bridge the gap with the Bernie supporters.

It has been happening but not nearly enough as expected. He did very well with TX border counties. One poll I kept seeing last night was the high % of people who were waiting until the last few days to make a decision. Without question they are looking for the one who can gather momentum and beat trump, and with those synchronized endorsements I think made all the difference for Biden. And now BB... it's game over for Bernie, but the question is how quickly?

She is just not liked enough and I can't figure it out. I suspect a lot of sexism at play in our country still. She is an excellent candidate with almost no qualification weaknesses.

He certainly isn't perfect, but out of the choices D's had, he is likely the best "general election candidate." which is exactly why a huge majority of undecided primary voters swung his way in the last week. Once they saw a vote on him wouldn't be "wasted" (because "he's going nowhere"), they wholeheartedly supported him because they think he is a better "general election candidate" than Bernie. No one made them do it. Yes, good endorsements help, but people vote for who they want. And who they wanted was the "general election candidate" who could beat Trump. They certainly did not think that was Bernie. It wasn't "the establishment." The people (the D people) spoke on that last night. And the Biden + Bloomberg totals DWARFED what Bernie got last night. With Bloomberg leaving, Game over Bernie.

They may well be gulping right now. They put all their eggs in one basket and will be forced to ride this out and be fully dependent on the orange one. Hey, it was their choice to give their power away to the king. The Nikki thing makes no sense, the VP is not an intern, it will look really bad to dump Pence.
Some truth there, Biden could unite the dems if he even knows how many of them have been completely marginalized. HRC’s scorched-earth tactics never worked (except to burn us all).

politics isn't math. She has a way of being very offputting and pointy-fingered. I mean I am on her side. I've practiclly never voted for a Republican in my life. I am vividly anti-Trump. Yet I feel like Liz thinks I'm the enemy. I don't feel that way about anyone else. She is terrible at pulling in people from outside her little bubble.
