the ice stats are interesting...they show that we had a clear drop in ice in the previous 10 years, compared to previous decades. No question.

but since that drop, ice has been fairly steady and this year is even at the top end of the newly rest lower range.

I'm not sure what the climate scientists would say about htat, but it can't be bad news. we aren't on a steady decline, if you restart the clock 10 years ago.

You know, one thing you should consider is that if crossing the border is criminal (like it currently is, although most people are not caught in the act and are charged with a civil violation, and many people here illegally did not commit that crime because they entered legally and overstayed their VISA, for instance)....anyway if they are charged with a crime then the taxpayer has to provide them with a lawyer. Since most people are not able to hire a lawyer, it is much easier to charge them with a civil violation and win that hearing without a lawyer for the defendent.

The data will always look different depending on where you stop and start. These measurements only go back to 1979, so we'd really like to have more data. And arctic sea ice is only one of many indicators of Global Warming.

But if you take all the arctic sea ice data we have from 1979 until now then the overall picture doesn't look too good. NASA has done the full graph for you on this page:

He seems to be in denial about this, even though it's exactly what he is campaigning on for re election. What is he going to tell voters in 5-6 months if the virus has cut deeply into productivity and the mkts are still dropping? What is he going to tell people if thousands end up dying in the US?
