Another thing I am wondering... SC's lawyer claimed they did a blood test for EPO. My guess is that they did it and didn't include it in the OPRA request because Rowan seems incompetent.. Looks like they let everyone "self-select" what documents they wanted to include.
But if they actually didn't test him... What does that mean? Is this just blatant misconduct by Rowan's athletic department? Lack of Institutional control?
Testing would have been performative at best. Not contacting Iowa State is the red flag....they (Rowan) wanted plausible deniability. Sounds like Gault sent them the mom's "he told the truth" email which blew it all up. From that point on, they were harboring an athlete whose own mother appears to corroborate BPC 157 usage. Also worth noting that now a second Clevenger family attorney does not deny the authenticity of the email evidence, only that it was obtained nefariously.
Agreed, the results of the test wouldn't have been interesting. But just wondering from a 'process' standpoint can the NCAA step in now and say "Hey Rowan, you aren't following drug testing protocol".Probably not, but trying to find the significance of this blatant lie being told here (the lie being he was tested).

Okay new thought. What if someone started a Kickstarter for SC to sign a FERPA. All the money raised goes straight to SC if he signs the doc.
Kind of Like 50 cent challenging Floyd Mayweather to read one page of Harry Potter in exchange for a $1,000,000 donation to a charity of his choosing. (spoiler alert, FM never did it)
Let's say the T&F community raises $10K in a couple months...
If the FERPA proves he's innocent, we all apologize and he gets a huge payout on top of that! Win win! there would TRULY be no reason not to sign it right?

New story from Rowan's school newspaper, The Whit. You might recall this is the same paper who wrote the story where Seth's mom crashed out in the comments section on instagram: "copying another story with false information. Is there a reason why you want to say his age?! You suck! Bad reporting!" Still no comment from mom on what parts of the story she believes are false.
Anyway, this latest story goes into background on Rowan Clean Sport initiative and continues to paint Rowan University as definitely incompetent and possibly complicit. Their cease and desist general counsel has gone from threating a defamation law suit to not giving an interview to the school newspaper to defend the university. The timing of the cease and desist strongly suggests it was just an intimidation tactic to silence RCS once they filed an OPRA for documents. Shady stuff indeed.
Anything of note in the recent document dump? They just posted about it
The only thing that stands out to me is the Excel sheet of metadata regarding correspondence between Rowan and Iowa State. It's a pretty confusing mess of a spreadsheet, but in summary, only five emails between @rowan.edu and @iastate.edu emails were found. The contents weren't shown, but the first four appear to be communication between the compliance officers at the respective schools (Mandy Jiang for Rowan and Lucas Oerter for ISU) and the last one is between Clevenger and assistant coach Eric DuBois regarding Sickle Cell testing.
What's glaringly ABSENT is any communication between Rowan coaching staff and coach Jeremy Sudbury of Iowa State. This is probably what Rowan Clean Sport expected, and it's clear from these emails that Rowan did NOT exercise due diligence in determining Clevenger's eligibility. Had they done so, Sudbury most likely would've advised against taking on Clevenger, so one could conclude that Rowan intentionally decided to turn a blind eye to the claims circulating about Clevenger in order to obtain D1 talent for their team.

To reiterate what the above poster said, what they have released basically confirms they did zero due diligence. They didn't want to know. They weren't counting on the emails leaking, so now they are doing their best to cover it up. Speaking of emails, Rowan Clean Sport did in fact get an AI expert to go on record as saying there's no way the email inbox was an AI fake. EPO receipts in the inbox, and Rowan doesn't even care. Amazing stuff. I wonder if the army of Rowan University technology savants will hop back in here and tell us how that video could have easily been made with AI like they were insisting in past threads.
boy it's wild that the rowan (insert derogatory term here) clan keep claiming that the only reason people are questioning SC and Rowan's "ethics" are because of his times. Nah, we're questioning because of your lack of ethics.
I ran against *northeast runners* a few decades decade ago, thinking I was hot stuff, and oh billy would I not be able to compete with those boyos (running cleanly) today. Not once have I thought "oh I bet <xyz> is supporting dirty runners". Except Rowan. Congrats, you played yourself. Nobody thinks D3 athletes are doping except now Rowan guys, so again, you got that going for you.
But, to the 32min 10k guys at Rowan -> I could still beat you running bass ackwards. So you got that going for you, which is nice. I'll piss in a cup if you will.
yikes, not a good look for Iowa state. Also props to LR for filing a records information request from Iowa during their April 1st shenanigans.
Also Rowan continues to find new ways of coming off as hilariously incompetent. (bolding mine). At most institutions I would think the head AT's boss would be the Director of Athletics, no? So Tucker just keeps on winning here.

The Head Athletic Trainer, Colleen Grugan, apparently had no idea how to test someone for EPO. And so she Googled “best methods for detecting synthetic EPO,” and sent the pinned Google results to “Dr Dave” and asked if “any regular lab” could perform the test. Ex. X. Dr. Dave responded that
Page 22 Rowan “would probably start with these basics,” which according to Dr. Dave’s ChatGPT screenshot, included a Complete Blood Count, Reticulocyte Count, Serum EPO Levels, and Athlete Biological Passport. Ex. X. Dr. Dave appears to misunderstood ChatGPT's explanation that testing serum EPO levels would “test for synthetic EPO, which can cause levels significantly above normal,” as actually testing for synthetic EPO. Ex. X. In any event, Rowan only performed testing for CBC, reticulocyte counts, and serum EPO levels – basic bloodwork. Not a drug test. When Dr. Dave later asked whether “the lab did the sensitive tests,” likely referring to SDS-PAGE/SAR-PAGE tests which detect Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents, Ms. Grugan responded that she did not think so “because we just went to quest diagnostics[.] I called my boss to see if he wanted us to go to a fancy lab and do the fancy test and he said no.” Ex. Q. Dr. Dave said that the blood work “looks good with no red flags,” and double checked his work by “put[ting] the labs into chat gpt to analyze if concern for blood doping.” Ex. Q. ChatGPT was not concerned about Mr. Clevenger blood doping.

fixed a word
also not for nothing (feels fair game since he's been named by the lawyer representing RCS), the person behind RCS does not appear to have a TFRRS profile, so all the Rowan athletes claiming that RCS is just jealous DIII runners who want a higher podium spot are, (shockingly I know), wrong yet again. As far as I can see, that individual has nothing to gain personally from this, and has probably sunk an inordinate amount of time into this (certainly 10x more time than Rowan spent doing due diligence on the transfer)
Rowan Clean Sport Andrew is Emanuel Leblond’s best friend so there is a connection. Emanuel was the D3 xc champion last fall and the original creator of the petition for Seth Clevenger to be banned by the NCAA.
Exhibit B in this recent document dump seems pretty important.
Agreed. Figured the redacted name on this doc was probably someone other than SC. But by this logic we can assume SC was sent an identical one. Also nice to see the email from E. Roberts finally.
There's just so much here. Absolutely amazing job by RCS for pushing this uphill and by the attorney Papazian for a slam dunk complaint. There cannot be anyone who could read this and would honestly defend Seth (assuming they have a basic level of reading comprehension). Some of my favorite highlights:
Rowan University did zero due diligence to investigate the circumstances surrounding Seth's mid season departure from Iowa State. Despite receiving overwhelming evidence that he left ISU under nefarious circumstances
Brand new evidence in the form of a letter (exhibit B) that Seth and three others were suspended indefinitely from Iowa State. Seth was the only one of the four to transfer before the suspension became permanent. This means Seth lied to Rowan when he said he was reinstated to the team. Seth lying to Rowan is a big deal. Not that Dimit actually cares (just my opinion of course).
Did Dustin Dimit write the "attorney" letter (from Guzzo) that Seth posted to his instagram? Exhibit R is an email from Dimit to Elizabeth Roberts (Seth's mom) that is appears to be an early draft of a press release "clarifying" seth's academic and athletic history. This email is dated 2/18. Two days later on 2/20, the Guzzo law firm issued a press release (exhibit G) that is almost word for word what Dimit wrote.
Iowa State probably broke some big rules by conditioning a student's scholarship on his silence. I give them credit for kicking these kids off the team, but they definitely took measures to sweep this under the rug, including not properly notifying the NCAA.
Rowan didn't actually test Seth for EPO because someone's boss said the fancy test was too expensive. Their athletes are all over instagram comments claiming he is tested weekly. Maybe those athletes will read this and realize they've been completely lied to. Not holding my breath though.
There was another document dump of Rowan-released information. A lot of email back and forth with LR and Rowan. A lot of correspondence from the mom, who, despite her best efforts to protect her son, has made things worse.
She probably should have kept the "white privilege" thought to herself.
Yeah so much stuff. Can’t help but think now that a bunch of former ISU teammates have been named (by ER in emails) they may step up to either provide more evidence or provide additional info. Once the first non anonymous source comes through this whole thing will tip the scales.
Also now there is no question about the validity of the inbox.
2 things I learned from this release of documents.
1. Seth’s blood test revealed his Hct was 49.7! That’s wild might not be definitive proof of doping but it is high. What was the limit for automatic suspension in cycling during the EPO era? 50? To me this is worse than the emails showing he ordered EPO.
2. The Rowan coaches have no idea how to train endurance athletes. Hilarious reading their training plans for Seth. Also how does Dimit not know that Hct at 49.7 is high? Rowan should fir him just for not knowing how to read a simple blood test.
