Rankings are just rankings, and don't usually don't count for anything (except in this case being anywhere in the top 13 does count for something), and a lot of these teams are so close that a sequential ranking is misleading. And mine aren't better than anyone else's, but with all those disclaimers I would just comment:
I have JSerra slightly higher in an all divs merge and a dual meet, but I think of them as being in the same tier. JSerra 320 Foothill Technology 345
Trabuco Hills has been a great surprise this year, but even adding in their great performance at the OC champs, rating them #2 in Div1 SS is a little surprising, except if you are heavily weighting the most recent performance. Still, the top seven is so close, and it will come down to who stays healthy and races well on that day. Mira Costa 269 Beckman 280 San Clemente 295 Crescenta Valley 303 Redondo Union 303 ML King 318 Trabuco Hills 320
The top contenders in Div 2, 3 and 5 exactly match my list. But wow, going 13 deep in all these divisions must take a lot of time, because he is not just using the best SRs, he is putting some thought into it.
The problem that JSerra boys team originally had was that they had nothing behind their top 5. But later in the season their #6 runner returned, though he was still almost a minute behind their #5 last race. JSerra probably has a better top 5, but Foothill Technology has better overall depth.
There is nothing to dodge at Mt. Sac. It is a dinosaur now.
The entries show the top 6 D1 teams in the entire state (all SS) will be there, and they have their full varsity squads listed. These six teams are very close strength wise, so it should be a very interesting. And just like Clovis is a preview of state, this race is on the course that these six teams will race for Southern Section Champs. Glad these teams aren't dodging the competition

I think we covered this. It's for Southern schools, no one else cares about that meet. For Southern Section schools it's a preview run.

Mostly true. But I am interested in seeing how the 2 best schools from San Diego, Mt Carmel and Poway do. They are not as good as the top 6, but we don't get to see them out of their region very often, and usually none of their races are speed rated. But if I am right, there may not be 10 teams outside of the southern section better than them, and Northcutt and Castleberry are 2 top individuals. Always good to get more data.
Mt. Sac: Olly O’Connor wins the Boys 3 Mile Boys D3,4&5 Sweepstakes race in 14:48. West Torrance wins that race as a team
Good to see Josiah Bowman with his first real good result this year at 14:57. The new Mt Sac course has typically run almost the exact same timewise as Clovis (O'Connor 14:47 and 14:48). Bowman ran 4:08 for 1600m last year, so he could be a top individual at states.
Also a real good run for San Fran Univ. Looks like the favorite now in D5.
San Clemente won and beat some really good teams Redondo Union, Beckman, and Mira Costa.
Looks like San Clemente's team time was 1:17:02. Course seems like it is running a little faster than yesterday, maybe slightly faster than Clovis. SC was a little faster than Woodbridge at Clovis.
It will be interesting to see the speed ratings. For comparison:
