Someone forgot to tell Jesuit they can have seniors on varsity. They do need 4+5 to step up though. But overall a solid first race for them. I haven't checked if they withheld anyone but I would not be surprised if they did.
Jesuit didn’t have junior Donnelly, who ran a sub-9 3k in track, and was the 7th nonsenior in cross last year.
Their top returner was only #4 on the team today which might not be a great sign for them. Now I wonder where their top guy will finish at NXR.
They only have 2 seniors on varsity this year, but last year they had 2 juniors, 3 sophs, and 2 seniors on there.
Next year I think they will have 5 seniors on varsity if they all come back and healthy
Yeah so they will have some problems. But who knows they have been able to pull some sub 9:30 guys out of a hat b4 so I wont hold my breath.
why are the california teams ranked so badly on this? Did we not get 8th and 10th last year and 1st, 6th and 7th the year before??
apparently 4 midwest teams are ranked higher than every california team. Southwest was screwed in rankings last year but looks like it will be california this year. hopefully they guys can put a good one out for us at nxn this year
It seems like there's a lot of guess work in these early season rankings. Hopefully they start looking at actual data that is now available.....like year over year improvement (team averages) on the same courses. It will also help when more out of state teams race each other at some of these bigger invitationals. CBA is not #2, but that will be more evident as the season progresses.
