It doesn't look good for our country. In many respects Bloomberg helped Bernie (not that it would have made a difference in Nevada). Bloomberg took all the incoming attacks during the debate instead of the leader Bernie and Bloomberg is dividing the moderate vote.
But, I think Trump's excessiveness started a counter revolution and Bernie gained steam from it. Also many democratic voters supporting Bernie are not that well off and don't have great private insurance and might have big student loans. So his policies appeal to them.
The moderate Democrats lack a strong charismatic leader. Bernie has also been subtly threatening the Democratic "establishment" by saying he won't let them stop him and his folks would be angry if he didn't get the nomination if he had the plurality.
Vladimir is pleased with how things are progressing. I am not optimistic.

Heres the problem for the GOP.....
Sanders is a popular guy. Screaming SOCIALISM!!! just doesn't work anymore. Its like the boy who cried wolf. They have been screaming it for so long that no one listens when a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist is now the likely candidate. When you get past the title a lot of folks are going to like Sanders policies.
At this point the only voters who dont know Bernie is a Democratic Socialist are too slack jawed and inbred to know what Socialism even is.
Presidential elections are all about popularity and light on substance.
I remember everyone in '08 saying McCain was a lock because the Dems nominated a light on experience black guy.

He has supported some of the worst dictators and authoritarians in history. And, no one was saying that McCain was a lock in 2008. McCain was a terrible candidate and everyone knew it.

What Trump and the Trumpers failed to account for was how many Trumpers would skew the caucus results. There is no stopping the Trumpers for continuing the Bernie Landslide nomination win and then on to a Bernie Landslide Presidency. You clearly don't remember very well because the GOP nominee always was considered DOA being that it was 2008 and the election was a referendum on W and the GOP policies leading up to the 2008 market implosion. McCain NEVER was even remotely in contention (except for the little couple day bounce he got when he picked Palin as his VP -- but even that was gone once people quickly realized what an idiot she is). Claiming that you remember McCain people a "lock" indicates how truly little you actually remember.
