Not sure if I am the first one with a copy, came about 2.5 hours ago here in the UK and felt the need to post. Like someone else shared above, I caught the link yesterday whilst it was still available for delivery today.
Thoughts, having got about a third through.
Quality is excellent. Anyone who thought this was just a pamphlet will be totally shocked. This looks like and is, a book you would expect a publishing house to drop. In fact, surpasses some books that I bet have sold 6 figure sales.
Content: enjoying it immensely. It's linear, starting right back at the begining to cycling, a bit of history of why he started running and then onto some of the problems he ran into including the theory I'm up to of the new approach he went with, training load etc. It's also very well written, I've laughed out loud a few times and sirpoc is clearly a natural at this, I hope he realises that.
Visuals: these are fantastic, adds an extra layer to it all. Some of it is quite in depth, but those sections are add-ons to dip into if you choose, it will make sense when you see it and gives the book two layers, the real basics, but also for those who want a bit more.
The foreword by Bakken is very good and it's clear if he was going to tell a hobby jogger how to train, he is fully on board. That, I think, is striking.
You certainly don't need to be a fan of this thread or have the background here, to enjoy this or understand it. I noticed it's #1 in the UK running book chart and this could genuinely be the book your "average" runner turns to, for just about everything. It might even turn the average runner into good, the good into excellent and so on.
A couple of Letsrun Easter eggs though, one I especially laughed at, either in the preface or prologue.
