Trump pardons those who do him favours or do what he likes. He has long denied Russian involvement in the 2016 election and continues to argue the debunked conspiracy theory it was the Ukraine. The congressman - who is a buddy of Trump's - knows The Corrupt One and Liar-in-Chief would likely pardon Assange if he tells the world what Trump wants to hear. Like Zelensky making a statement that he would "investigate" Joe Biden.

For Zelensky the "favour" would result in releasing promised aid. With Trump, there is always a quid pro quo. It would have been the same for Assange. A pardon in return for a false statement. Rohrabacher knew that, which is why he made the promise to Assange.

So then how do you reconcile the Dems main thesis that Trump gave the direct order to investigate Hunter the Great? In your world, Trump is behind everything bad so, even if he actually isn't, just say that he is and some people will believe you.

We were specifically addressing a current issue, why Russia might favor Trump over any Democratic nominee.

You will want to read that again. That is not what Rohrabacher confirmed. He confirmed that he (Rohrabacher) offered to ask Trump about a pardon and that he believed he could deliver it. He states that he never discussed it with Trump, that he discussed it with Kelly but didn't really hear back. He offered it on Trump's behalf, but without any authorization or confirmation that he could make it happen.

The truth is damning enough, I have no idea why you have to misstate the facts.

So you think we should acknowledge the fact that for 50 years Sanders has admired and praised murderous left wing regimes and joined hardcore left wing organizations....but still support him against Biden.

I think probably most sanders people say 'eh don't worry about all that stuff - focus on the 'helping the middle class' stuff.

Well I don't think it goes both ways here. Sanders has shown us that he admires a mighty strong central government that does some nasty things in order to reach its goals.

While I take your point, I don’t think you really believe that Sanders wants to US to turn into the Soviet Union. Elements of the Scandinavian Model seems to be what he more frequently suggests.

Why not discuss the merits of that instead of sensationalist sound bytes.
