Absolutely I think they should be broken up further. It is partly why we have low voter participation in our country, each party is one big basket of all or nothing and people don’t align with that. The biggest limitation right now is that there is no overlap between the two parties. They do not have to agree on anything let alone work together and cooperate to continue surviving. The pendulum will just swing if they choose not to collaborate so why pick the harder path? If I’m the opposing parry and cooperate with current majority then I may just end up making them look good if I help them. What is in it for the loser? History favors them sitting on their a$$es while the winner inevitably fks up help their help or consent. By default the disgruntled voter will either stay home or even vote for the other side.

In a multi-party system they actually have to compromise and form alliances which I argue serves the public more in the end. Multiple parties can offer a more defined set of priorities and policies to the electorate, and they often need to convince voters that they can effectively cooperate with others to make progress on their agenda. Here the Dems and GOP are just selling you headlines and visions they know can’t materialize and they are selling their ability to limit the other party. That’s not compelling. In a multi-party system there is incentive to get things done and also they are not beholden to the extreme basket of views. Here we have a winner take all system which ensures the wishes of least half the country are put aside for 4-8 years each cycle.

I very much doubt it. The more people learn about him the more his popularity goes up. If Democratic Socialism was going to hurt him we would have seen some evidence of that.

So...one interpretation of that is: 40% of americans don't yet understand Bernie is a socialist.

some portion understand that bernie's socialism is just nordic model, not actual socialism. )

but 40% is a big big number - I suspect many of those currently ignorant of bernie's socialism will move away from him once they do learn that.

Assuming that poll includes tzees and other Rs, that is expected and IMO not impactful as those people won't be voting for Bernie anyway.

President Trump is showing his bipartisanship by commuting the sentence of a DEMOCRATIC former governor. Unlike the vindictive liberals, he is a very forgiving person.

Its still too far away man. We dont even had a democrat lined up.

Wait until Super Tuesday, then we will have a democrat lined up.

Primary polls are all about momentum. When a candidate has 40%+ in a poll then thats the one thats going to win. These polls showing Sanders or Biden or anyone else with 20-30% dont matter....it means that 70% dont support that candidate.

Moderates have well over 50% of the support. Bloomberg is the shiny new toy taking support away from Biden.

This begs the question in my opinion because it demands non-mainstream parties to exist only if they have a proven track record of cooperation which would, of course, only come after an election.

I suspect we've simply reached an impasse on the issue and I'll just agree to disagree
