William Barr is so transparent. He is basically saying he is completely independent, Trump has not told him what to do but the only problem is the appearance of wrong doing by Trump's tweets. Barr is losing his best people and he is vainly trying to regain credibility. It's a big fail.

It's early but Nate's model for the first time finds the most likely outcome to be a contested convention.

538 has been reaching. Their numbers on this have been jumping around week to week. It doesn't mean too much.

The Dems here never really talk about it but what happens if Trump is re-elected? Forget about the smaller-type things that we usually talk about. The elephant in the room is the Supreme Court. Do you Dems think about that? The Court is already conservative, but if Trump wins later this year, he will most likely replace Ginsburg (I am hoping she merely steps down and wish the best to her for her health) with a conservative and likely another liberal with yet another conservative jurist. That would put the court at 7-2 in favor of conservatives. That will have much longer-lasting consequences than anything else. A conservative court such as that will produce changes that will last for 30-plus years.

A veto contradicts some of his party members. What is important is that they felt the need to vote against him, which means his stain is starting to hurt them.

Why would we talk about that? We already know what he’s going to do.

Plus anyone with half a brain can see fat boy is losing it and it’s their @ss because they acquitted. They’re going to have to act “moderate,” and hedge their bets. Trump could do anything desperate at this point & they know it.

Is the White House still probably actively working against Trump? Remember that anonymous letter to the editor in NYT and multiple reports that staffers were pulling things off Trump's desk in hopes he would forget?

The biggest danger with another Trump administration is missed opportunity costs on a lot of important issues that need to be addressed. I'd like for the US to not fall behind on some key issues. He hasn't done sh!t, he won't ever do sh!t, and he might actually be retarded at this point.

I will give Trump (or whatever White House staffer running the show) credit for including NASA and quantum computer research in the budget.
