Grimes-Nebraska N. Davenport-TCU D. Hood, Jr. High School CoachVictor Houston might consider heading back to the University of Iowa for their open position. He did a great job for them when he worked under the late, Jimmy Grant.

Yes, Weir's contract ended and was not renewed. Vin Lananna moving out of the Head position and Robert Johnson is going to be named Head Coach at Oregon.
Interesting, since they are a distance school - so why no distance head? And is Johnson looking seriously at other programs? Did Oregon make him an offer he couldn't refuse? What is going on?

Very curious about that one also. Grimes would be an instant fit, but unlikely guy. He has it made in Nebraska, and will be the new head coach the moment Peppin steps down. Compton however may not have the same security or status. Tech could be the lifeline in a potentially dismantled Arkansas women's team. If Tech wants someone to primarily focus on vaulting, and vaulting only then Compton might be the key hire. Some of the best vault coaches in college are volunteer, so most schools typically don't have to pony up.

It's quiet here in Texas. Usually word of mouth gets around with news like this. As far as volunteer college coaches, there are some good ones out there. I wonder how long it will be before Texas Tech hires a replacement.

So the kid Sunquist, who ETSU was going to make head coach, has disappeared off the coaches roster. Word on the street a while ago was that Morton was preferred by the administration. Anyone know what's up with the head coach position, or even where they are with getting a distance coach?
