Dont mean to imply there is anything wrong with this, because i get your point, but your age is showing. Mantz is considered a phenom by the younger generation and from his NCAA win to his trials win is defining a generation as we speak. 8th in these olympics is nuts.

This annoys me. Who cares watching him celebrate when there's a lot of runners finishing in the same time, there's a lot of runners who aren't finished yet. I wanna see at the very least the first 10, preferably 15 finishers.

It would be only ok if there's a few minutes gap between the 1st and everybody else. Also why we had to watch excessive amount of time the crowds, drone footage and slow mo? Who cares? Put camera on the leader/s, on the chasing group and midpack and rotate them to cover the whole or almost all runners.

It was actually quite good to have Kerley on the second. Coleman isn't fast the last 10m. Then, a slow and late start makes sense. I think that they would have won if they had not changed the running order. Good relay runners would have solved it anyway.

With Jamaica taking themselves out twice, the USA should take five relay gold medals. Although a non-American it makes it more interesting and tgus thread is hilarious, it is hard to comprehend how bad it is considering the level of competition.

Ok. Bol had to produce a miracle, but the women's 4x100m was really bad despite their win. They had the running strength and opposition that were not brilliant. It was, in fact, the worst final I have seen in these olympic games. In no other event did you get a medal with such obvious flaws.

Sure, it is impressive in a way, and it makes it easier for other countries to win, but in the end, it is disrespectful to compete at the Olympics with this kind of attitude.

I recently watched high lights of the world championships 1983.

C. Lewis ran the semifinal and had to jog to the long jump final to make his jump. Today the USA is on the other end if the attitude spectrum.

I did wonder who the female was, she was friggin' terrible and super annoying.

How did Tola win that race on that course with only two weeks of preparation? Since he was on Ethiopia's standby list, would he have been told to train like he was going to race? If so, how did he find the motivation? Whatever way you look at, it's a truly extraordinary achievement.
