The “open air prison” stuff makes me laugh. Hamas literally just proved why they need to be walled in. If the walls came down, thousands or millions would die.

And yes, no Arab country will take in Palestinians. Why would they? Palestinians have started revolts in Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. But they’re happy to let Israel take the blame.

They are going to put their disproportionate military force on display by bombing as many "targets" as possible. This won't do much to weaken Hamas, but will kill enough civilians to create thousands of future revenge-thirsty Palestinians. Then they are going in to show they can control much of Gaza. But if just to appease angry Israelis, this ground operation will be short lived and they will avoid very crammed areas, refugee camps, and any house to house fighting. Then they will leave again and continue their usual slow annexation.

Now if Bibi wants to appease the religious right wingers and really "take" Gaza, they will need to be prepared to suffer a lot of casualties for as long as they occupy. This would be the dumbest and deadliest approach and Israel will lose a lot of the international support they have left and the results will be embarrassing for their military. Bibi only cares about saving his own corrupt a$$ so he may actually try to get Israel into some serious long lasting conflict. Israelis may need to ready themselves to see much more frequent terror within their borders. As for Hamas, not going to get wiped out.
