We've had more than one election since 2016.
There was a special election in Alabama to replace Jeff Sessions.
That was won by a Democrat.
There was a Democrat elected governor of Kentucky.
There was a Democrat elected governor of Louisiana.
The entire state assembly in Virginia is Democrat run across the board for the first time in decades.
Maybe I'm cherry picking.
But I am asking for examples of anywhere in a state that Trump lost that has elected a Republican statewide or put in a Republican where a Democrat was.
States that Trump won and then elected a statewide Democrat since:
Arizona
Alabama
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Michigan
Wisconsin
West Virginia
Kentucky
Louisiana
States that Hillary won and then elected a statewide Republican since:
crickets
Trump has to defend all of those states plus Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Iowa.
And nothing shows that he may gain any state.
Trump has made the DOJ into his own personal legal department.
I can scarcely believe this.
The shame will go on for generations. There is no honor among thieves.

Washington (CNN)The Justice Department will backtrack on its request that longtime Donald Trump confidante Roger Stone get up to nine years in prison, a senior department official said Tuesday, contradicting its own federal prosecutors in a highly unusual and politically charged move.
Prosecutors from the US Attorney's office in Washington, who are employees of the Justice Department, had said Monday that Stone should be sentenced to seven to nine years in prison after he was convicted on seven charges last year that derived from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, including lying to Congress and witness tampering.
But on Tuesday, the senior official said that that sentencing recommendation, transmitted to a judge and signed off on by the office's top prosecutor, had not been communicated to leadership at the Justice Department.
"The Department was shocked to see the sentencing recommendation," the official told CNN. "The Department believes the recommendation is extreme and excessive and is grossly disproportionate to Stone's offenses."
A revised sentencing memorandum is expected to be filed in Washington federal court later Tuesday.
The reversal comes after Trump objected to the prosecutors' recommendation, lambasting them on Twitter early Tuesday for what the President called a "horrible and very unfair situation."

or better put, he's gonna be impeached again if he is reelected. He can't help himself. he is a criminal with no thought for the nation.

Is that a joke? There are any number of things I would trade that for. Health (including the ability to walk!), a loving family, . . .
If you value "fame and fortune" as highly as your post suggests then that may, to some degree, explain what is wrong with you.

Dry sarcasm for sure. That's the funniest line I've read on here in a very long time. Well done.

Thankfully, the judge can ignore any recommendation if he chooses.
But no matter what, Stone is white and wealthy. He will serve far less time than a black man busted for weed.

sure but it's just a setup - so Trump has cover for pardoning Stone. The moron in chief will say he is correcting a miscarriage of justice. Which is what pardons are *supposed* to be for.
That, and it's Trump pounding DOJ over and over and over until it is just an auxiliary to the white house. I mean Sessions stood his ground and was trashed beyond belief by the R party. Barr understood the message and has made DOJ trump's law enforcement tool.
You think any federal prosecutor is going to go after a Trumpist now? No chance. Unless she wants to be fired and ostracized.
This is what it looks like when politicized law enforcement happens. When members of one party are treated differently than the other.

Correction. The judge can ignore any recommendation if she chooses. Stone will be sentenced by D.C. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, an Obama appointee.

Dems never seem willing to actually take the gloves off and call Republicans out on their hypocrisy. They tend to play nice -- "When you go low, we go high" or whatever it was.
It should be really easy to do so with Trump, you have him on video saying he won't go golfing, and then dozens of golf trips (for example).
I sort of doubt anyone will use that against him in some effective way, though.
None of that matters because they will just apply their intrumpertations. FOX won't air any of it and their FB friends are all quoting Alex Jones, Breitbart and ZeroHedge. Like people have been saying, tzees are a totally lost cause.

I'm sure trump has asked this question already, but can he fire and replace this judge before the sentencing? All eyes were on Dem primaries until he shot himself in the foot once again... can't help it is right. Openly protecting a blatant criminal, beyond shameful and unamerican.

these assertions are not provable to the affirmative or negative, but always beware of someone saying 'it's never been this bad ever before' or for generations. UNless that person is a trained historian.
Defending today, remember that there are more independents than there are either Ds or Rs. That is new and while most do lean one way or the other, it does suggest a vast middle ground of people who don't vote the party ticket.

The dems have failed miserably. Dem policies are popular but Dems get caught up in elitist woke politics so country joe and jane say to themselves 'these snobby city folk are going to force me to change how I look at life - I'm staying with the Rs.'
total political malpractice and we're doing it again with the wokest candidate on the list.
great job, dems.
Yes, Republican policies are not popular and democratic policies are.
For some reason you want Democrats to not actually pursue those popular policies and return to the James Carville model of triangulation.

Tiny can't fire judges.

It's good that she and a couple others shared this moronic sentiment - going to cost them votes.

Roger Stone may also be sentenced to wear an “I’m with Stupid” shirt after his release from prison.
