I'm 65.
I bumped my mileage up to just under 80 mpw mostly by adding a 30 min tread (5k) session every evening (listening to audiobooks just makes the time fly).
I started NSA in May. Before that I had 4 years of constant injuries running more conventional workouts (at a lot less mileage). Since staring NSA I have had exactly zero big injuries.
I run double sessions every day, 7 days a week (time is not an issue when you are retired). 4 days are double easy - 9k first session and 5k on the tread in the evening. 3 days are a 9k thresh session (w/ another 8k of warmups and cd) and 5k on the tread in the evening. I've been on this schedule for almost 2 months now and it feels pretty sustainable for me.
No long runs - I don't race anything over 5k and any time I anything over an hour nonstop my fatigue spikes.
