Just seen this great short from Bigger Than Running which I think some of you here should remind yourselves of sometimes. Yes there’s the odd bad influencer but the majority are so wonderful. Changing the sport and bringing in so much positivity and inspiration
starts his list of "good" influencers with Herm, Kofuzi, Believe in the Run, and Ben F... you. must be joking.
"I ran Chicago Marathon and couldn't tell you who came first, second, or third simply because I don't care but I could tell you about my favorite influencers."
influencers are putting their true selves out there. (monetary gain and... actual reality conveniently excluded)
ends it with "there I said it." yeah said straight up foolishness. so bad it's like one of the parody posts on this thread.
Yeah I refuse to give that dude any clicks. Seems like one day he just showed up and sucked up to all influencers trying to make it as an influencer himself.
Funny you should ask. He just released his most extensive edit ever for the New York marathon. Moreover, he has announced that he is running a double marathon in Memphis on Saturday, which seems like a particularly bad idea for someone who has logged a grand total of 120 miles in the last month and not a lot more in the month before that. But he has to keep the content coming somehow.
Beautiful film by Floberg about how much he loves New York City. The stories on how he met his favorite fellow influencers. The high amount of fitness he has gained since his first NYC. He then surprises his son by taking him to the city for his birthday.
Yes, it was very artistic. Beautifully shot and edited.
Probably his finest work to date, which is some high praise.
It was really refreshing to see a runner as capable as him, take a step back and run for pure enjoyment. A 2:49 is nothing special for somebody like Floberg but I get the impression he had no regrets, as he could celebrate with the crowds and give something back to the fans & crowds who so ferociously supported him in Chicago.
Never realised he had such an affinity to New York City but he beautifully conveyed what the city meant to him and his family and how much his life is based around what's doing right for his wife and kids. A selfless guy.
The segment where he played some of his most iconic titles songs from his previous series was also perfectly put together. Tunes we have all grown to know and love due to him. Find it so refreshing that he uses the music from lesser known artists rather than the generic stuff others use.
Very excited to see what the next year brings for Eric. One of the most eloquent youtubers around right now and in a place where so many are critiqued, I find it only fair that we also give kudos when one does something truly good & magical. As for the running, he continues to improve and the mileage slowly increases block by block. A lot of natural talent and room for improvement for sure. Sub 2:20 by 2027? Why not? OTQ a pipe dream? Maybe, but not impossible.
Doubt I will watch a better video than this, this Christmas Season. So happy Christmas Mr Floberg. And thank you. X
I’ve always thought of Chicago as Eric Floberg’s center of gravity — the runner who loves the Cubs and carries that Chicago energy into everything he creates. So discovering his love for NYC in his latest video drop honestly caught me off guard. It moved me more than I expected. That said, looking back at the full, artistic canon of his work, it suddenly all makes sense. Like Steve Jobs said, you can only connect the dots looking backward. And now that I see those dots, I respect Floberg’s running and his story even more.
At 6:30 in the newest Floberg video, he tells his son that they're celebrating his son's birthday with a trip to New York City ... where Floberg just happens to be running a marathon.
I hope they at least popped into FAO Schwartz for a few minutes before picking up his race bib.
This is hall-of-fame stuff, right up there with ending that video proudly announcing that he missed his son's playoff game.

... that he and his wife missed his son's playoff game. This really hasn't been mentioned enough.
I mean, it is one thin that Broberg, the guy constantly proclaiming that 'running will never take precedence over my family', runs a marathon rather than watch his son's playoff game (also abandoning the entire team he is the head coach of, by his own statements).
But the wife also attending that marathon (filming Broberg in portrait mode, lol) rather than go watch her son compete in what must be one of the highlights of the little one's life so far, just takes the cake, imo.
So, their son was without his mum, dad, or the head coach of the team during one of the biggest games of the year? Lol!

Shades of Seth the goat Demoor re-gifting free shoes to his nephew (wrong size).
He’s becoming increasingly defensive. Truett Hanes’ timeline over the past 14 months or so (all in jeans) is quite remarkable. Here are some notable events: - September 2024: Big Cottonwood 2:55 - February 2025: Austin 2:42 - April 2025: Eugene 2:37, Boston under 2:35, and some random Oregon race 2:34 - August 2025: Leadville 100 in 22:34 (22nd overall) - November 2025: New York City (possibly a test run?) In just a year, he dropped an astonishing 35 minutes while wearing jeans and doing 10k pull-ups on the side. I’ve never seen anything like it from a normal mortal. I believe peptides (bPC/TB500 + CJC/IPAM) combined with a baby dose of TRT, along with a little TIRA/SEMA, would enable him to recover from 120-mile weeks effortlessly. He could heal every minor tendon tweak overnight. He could stay shredded and never listen to what Grok says. That combination can transform a 28-year-old into a freak. Just be honest with us, Truett. No one is mad. God is watching, man. The truth will set you free.

I bet Truett is in conversations with MattRuns (the bus driver) on how to run all your easy runs at MP, how to hit 3 VO2 max sessions a week and how to look ripped for your profile pic
Cole Gibbens - broken? amnother example of what happends when you sell youre sole for a couple of quid and get roped into doing marathons which you know you shouldnt be doing. think this is the beginning of the end
The Great new video from the Two Running Brooms recorded at the British Masters 5K Road Championships includes a short clip of Sirpoc84 on his way to victory. Also some positive comments about the book from John. Timestamp 8:03. Bester nowhere to be seen.
Truett Hanes has posted a new video claiming he is natty.
Personally I don't care if he dopes or not. He's not the only one doing it among the masses, and he's not elite enough for WADA to care.
But, what I find interesting is the psychology of his fanbase. They actually believe this crap. We're living in such a weird social media driven era. The hoardes of running influencer fanboys. The comment section of his pages and Youtube video is just such a bizarre world. These people actually exist.

???? Cole just dropped a new video. Seems to have found his running mojo after moving house.
Truett (I can’t wait to see him at CIM) peptides or not? 2:25? Off of zero serious intervals.
I find it amusing in his latest video how he thinks “blood work” shows he’s never taken a peptide, TRT, etc. Clearly, he’s a ninja turtle body. I wish Derek MPMD’ would do a natural or not?
His passion is high, but his training style and philosophy is absolute rubbish. I appreciate the work ethic, but the idea that a runner doesn’t need a plan, a coach, or a system is just ill-informed. I have no doubt that with a decent coach and a few years, his goal is achievable clean. The arrogance disguised as being humble and hard working is just YouTube slop. Get a coach…read a book…and learn. Be humble not a false “prophet” telling people garbage.
