Can’t find the results anywhere. Want to know if Run the planet proved all his doubters wrong and went sub 3.
Be hilarious if he did. Would be so much egg on the face of this sub. Fingers crossed. I’m predicting 3:01:17 - not managing it on this occasion but showing he’s capable of it on a better course (must pretty blustery running a marathon on a race track, even if pancake flat!
Here are the results for "Hey everyone Matt here RunThePlanet"
lolol he just keeps getting slower and slower. dork.

"So...went like that, we cant win them all, but enjoyed more than you think. For now in short - not the race I expected, very cold at least at start, but I like that. Scouted out on lap 1 conservatively, then picked up to keep the HR around 160, with gave me a pace around 4:35 that was comfortable. Around 30k started cramping, used cramped fixed a few laps on, cramp gone mostly, but after that I was spent, all the matches burned and looks like I never had a full box. I got some ideas - I will explain later. One section of the race was very windy for about 500m or so, maybe it took more out of me than I thought.
Gels at start (Focus90) and every 6k (C100, G100). M320 Drink at 14k, 27k as they let leave it on the course (thank you), then a bit more M320 here and there to end (total 1000 litres, 158g carbs total). Happy to finish and looking forward to a couple weeks off, maybe I wont run for the rest of the year now."
158g of carbs for the entire marathon? His pace isn't anywhere near where it needs to be and he probably isn't as fit as he thinks but that fuelling strategy seems way, way off
i took a month off this thread, have come back and still see its the same old garbage with people beating one out over Bester.
very very sad. this thread has potential but its been taken over by typical American tools or the pathetic u20 rent boys from Winchester Running Club.
will be taking another month away from this absolute toilet of a website
Let me get this straight...this place is an "absolute toilet" yet only merits *one month's* absence? That makes as much sense as refraining from an actual toilet for a month. Actually less sense. You will develop both creativity and gratitude by doing the latter.
To be fair, sirpoc only won because Nick didn't want to hand him another loss after the debacle that was GSR.
Looking forward to London next year, predictions:
- spiroc: 2:25
- Nick: 2:14
Well done nick, beat a 41 year old by about a minute over 10 miles, who had hardly run since July. As opposed to him probably being in the pub before you finished, after he ran past you (and has no idea probably who you even are) at London. I'm sure he is really bothered by all this, having currently the #1 running book for sale and woke up today a national masters champion. What you don't like is everyone likes him but everyone thinks you are a bell-end. You have all these followers but all you crave is real runners respect, which no matter what you do, you'll never achieve.
The sad thing is, having heard the horror stories about you, it's as likely you posting this as it is some random troll. That's a sad indictment of you.
Age difference is negligible, maybe he just works much harder in real life than spiroc. Plus, Nick actually beat spiroc in London at the half, then weather came into play which hits everybody differently. Nothing to do with training just bodies being blood bodies.
Nick also has a huge club of supporters and fans. What does spiroc have? Won't be even close come London, mate.

i only come back to abuse people, then dissapear for a while
as you obviously know the inside measurement of Bester biltong sword, can you please clarify what the big donkey uses to generate thousands of fake views for some of his youtube videos?
look back on his chanel, some random POV parkrun vids have 400k+ views, yet his average number of views is around 20k - dont tell me there was anything special about these vids, they are the same lazy dross he regularly pumps out as hes to lazy to think of something new. he is doing something shady to pump up the views and make his channel appear popular - these are FACTS.

Not sure why we need to pick a side here. Both are legends! I don’t think Nick is that much younger than SirPoc actually, he’s in his late 30s I believe.
On the off chance they both frequent this page - guys, give us what we all want! A collab and hopefully Christmas Number 1!!
Have a boomshakalaka Sub-Tmas 🎄 Get composing boys
No ill-will from Nick's side I'm sure, just sketchy spiroc claiming not to recognize Nick after the beating he took when Nick was waiting at the finish. Burying the hatchet requires the loser being willing to dig the hole, yeah?

Well said, Bester is a bellend. Even when he tries to be nice it's so fake, i've seen him pre and post race, all the camera stuff is a show.
Sirpoc is a down to earth, genuine guy. I know who i'd rather have as a coach, and more importantly who i'd rather have a beer with (spoiler - it's not Bester).

Does anyone else watch The Running Channel? I've always been a fan but my interest increased when they started getting cameraman Tom in on the action. I can't get enough of Tom-focused content and I feel he represents the every-day runner better than the rest of them, and he scratches that itch between Fordy vids. It's easy to criticise his apparent dislike of running and obvious reluctance at participating in TRC set-pieces, but honestly, that just makes him more relatable because don't we all fundamentally hate this sport and just get on with it? I love his in-vogue moustache too, which is almost standard-issue uniform for running influencers at this point. Go check out his latest 38k run on TRC in preparation for his Ultra, following his 6 hour debut marathon (can relate lmao!).

Is this real? lol
Yes, he's for real. He's an incredibly nice guy and will quickly disarm any criticism or critique on his YouTube channel by responding with much emojiness, but he's as dumb as a back of rocks.

I don't get him. two Sundays ago, I ran a marathon from my house. it was dark to start, then heavy rain, plus wind and a lot of hills.
I had 3 gels in total and over carbed before hand and hence had to find a toilet to stop at before I sh!t my pants.
I was chatting along the entire way with my mate, Garmin called it a base run and we still did it in 3.27 with zero effort. To be fair, I think I am in 2.50 shape currently, and so it really did feel easy. But still.... run the planet's training and times are diabolical. It's infuriating to witness.
