Yes, that Trump deal with the Taliban that left out the Afghan government really worked out well for Afghanistan. Well, it's great if you're in the Taliban...terrible for women, children, etc.

Trump has to be one of the worst negotiators ever.

His proxy in Munich (Hegseth) gave away a bunch of bargaining power before talks even started.

I am all for efficiency and ultimately downsizing the federal government, but firing large numbers of new FBI agents is not the way to achieve this. Louisiana specifically benefits from newly hired FBI agents. We need to add to our law enforcement, not take away.

We will see more and more of this. Sen. Britt (R) of Alabama was pleading with Trump to reconsider cuts to federal funding for various types of research because of the negative effects it will have on the University of Alabama. This is pretty typical behavior of people who claim to want a “small federal government. They’re all for slashing programs / benefits for other people but no the programs / benefits that favor themselves or their constituents. It’s a really illogical and stupid way of thinking.
