When I first read this I had to check the DSM publication date and looked at previous editions to see that they were actually describing a general syndrome and not DJT specifically.

This would anger any service member, and should anger anyone who considers themselves to be a patriot... he's the potus and cannot disrespect the strongest symbol of this nation. It is one thing to be playful when others are goofing around, but even the immigrant first lady gets it. He's the potus and should never be doing this. What an embarrassment. As usual, he'll get a pass though.

If IA turnout was no better in 2020 than it was in 2016, that's a very bad sign for the Dems.

But it's N=1.

The 2018 midterms had good turnout.

You guys (Democrats) can't even run the Iowa caucus but you want to run the country??? Seriously? What is so funny is that Robby Mook - Hillary's campaign manager is the person responsible for the debacle. Thankfully Trump won. Let's make a deal. Iowa isn't about delegates, it's about a head start for whoever wins there.

The New Hampshire primary is still a week away.

The Iowa winner will be announced today, and people will go into New Hampshire voting with knowledge of how it went.

This is mostly about cranky political media who stayed up to report the breaking news and it didn't break.

Now their story is a delay. So what?

If Biden was 4th, for example, it doesn't matter if it was announced yesterday or today.

Whoever won will still get her bump.

Nah the news cycle moves too fast for that. Whoever wins IA won't get the headlines and social media push anymore. I mean he'll get some, but not as much. Every story about who won will be paired with a story about the counting failure. Nate Silver has a long piece on how the repurcussions will ripple out down the months before a nominee is selected.

The silver lining is that this dooms IA and probably NH for 2024...the final straw to get rid of this ridiculous, self-defeating process.

Note that I wrote "her" and you wrote "he'll", so we were both politically incorrect (intentionally?).

But still whoever wins Iowa will be known to the people voting in New Hampshire, and for some it may be influential.

Remember, Trump influenced fake polls that showed he was in the lead before the primaries 4 years ago.

That helped him get the ball rolling.

He was a close second Iowa but easily won New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

It seems, for whatever reason, voters look to see who wins early and ten they vote for that person.

In 2012, pubs declared Romney the winner, then a recount (2 weeks later!) said Santorum won.
