A speeding Israeli bus loaded with colonists ran over a group of Palestinians, killing one and hurting two others near the Israeli checkpoint of Al Jalamah between Nablus and Jenin.

The speeding bus ran over Noor Hassan Salem, 22, his cousin Alaa Kayed Salem and a third villager from a village near Nablus.

Sources in Nablus told Gulf News that Noor suffered serious injuries in the incident and also claimed that the bus driver intentionally sped up before hitting the three men. The sources stressed that as the site was not a place to speed up and because the Palestinian workers were on the pavement and had not reached the street when the bus hit them, it is clear that the accident was intentional. In addition, it indicates that the bus driver clearly meant to hit the Palestinians in front of the Israeli soldiers on the checkpoint.

Nablus sources said that the incident was revenge and maintained that the accident was intentional.

The sources stressed that it was strange that all Palestinians who carried out actions against Israelis had been arrested, indicted and even punished but so far not even a single Israeli attacker had been arrested and questioned.

Lying anti-Israel propaganda site Mondoweiss published a photo of the victim, labeling the incident a "bus attack."

The Arab American News helpfully implied that this was a "racially motivated attacks by Jewish settlers against Palestinians."

What they didn't mention is that the bus driver was arrested on the scene for investigation (which Ma'an did report) and that he is an Israeli Arab!

Panet (an Israeli Arab newspaper) mentions it. Palestine News Network mentions it. Israeli police say they see no indication of it being intentional.

In the face of this fact, Noor's family- clearly wanting to get paid for their son being a martyr - claimed at the funeral that all these sources are lying, and that the bus driver really was a Jewish settler wearing a kipah, and that he tried to run away, and that Israeli police deliberately barred ambulances from the scene for 45 minutes (even the lying Gulf News report admitted that Israeli and Palestinian ambulances were on the scene quickly.)

Fatah turned the funeral into a political event to incite and stoke more anger against Jews.

This is par for the course: politically motivated liars and financially motivated family members do not hesitate to make up facts - because there are no repercussions when they are caught lying.

And sometimes they hit the jackpot and their lies can start a deadly riot against Jews.

An Israeli soldier gleefully posted an article to Facebook defining Israel’s future borders, which includes land not just belonging to Palestine, but to a shocking eight other countries as well: Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait and even parts of Egypt and Turkey. Doing so involves major invasions and land grabs across most of the Middle East.

Stephanie Lara Schnurman is part of the Israel Defense Forces and an unabashed Zi&nist. One only has to look at her public Facebook profile to see that, and it sadly seems to be necessary in order to be part of the Israel Defense Forces. Her comment on the article that she posted was:

In other words, she’s laughing about not just ridding Israel of Palestine, although that’s certainly her focus. She’s laughing about all the countries that will soon be Israel’s. The article she linked to quotes both the Book of Genesis and the Book of Deuteronomy—two of the five books of the Torah—as justification for why all this territory is destined to belong to Israel:

“Genesis 15:18 reads: ‘To your descendants I give this land from the River of Egypt to the Great River, the river Euphrates.’

Moses announces to the Jews in Deuteronomy 11:24, that ‘Every place where you set the soles of your feet shall be yours. Your borders shall run from the wilderness to the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates, to the western sea.'”

That’s where they get the idea that invading and taking land from nine countries is perfectly okay. It’s preordained. Here’s a closer look at their new territory:

That a member of the Israel Defense Forces believes this is indicative of just how dangerous Israel’s entire mentality is. They believe they’re meant to occupy all this land, just as they now illegally occupy Palestine. It’s likely that they would subjugate all the Muslims in these other eight countries, too, and possibly anybody else who wasn’t a Jew.

Where have we seen this movie before? Oh, that’s right, it’s all throughout history, with every empire that has ever risen and fallen. They all believed they were destined to occupy all the land they could see, and subjugate, or outright kill, anyone who wasn’t them because they were somehow superior.

Zi*nism was supposed to be a movement meant to build a safe haven for the Jewish people (my aside: Bullspit) . Following WWII and the holocaust, their dream of a homeland was realized, but the idea of Zi*nism persisted, and has morphed into something twisted and ugly. Just as the great and terrible empires of old, this will be one of the worst things unleashed on a largely innocent population if it comes to fruition.

That is what we’re talking about: An Empire of Israel.

Anshel Pfeffer, writing in Haaretz, says that the Zi%nist organizations (and thus, the whole movement) should have been “respectfully disbanded” following Israeli independence in 1948. Instead, it has flourished, and people like Schnurman, and even Israel’s own prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, are its products.

The map above is a dangerous expression, not just for the Middle East, but for the world. We have an awful lot of Zi$nists here in the U.S. who could push to help Israel in its quest, both out of blind loyalty and a misguided fear of the entire religion of Islam. If Israel did manage to invade nine countries, and take all this land, what’s to stop them from continuing on? Perhaps they’ll get word from their god that they shouldn’t stop. This is what’s becoming of Israel. Soldiers who laugh with gleeful abandon at the demise of an entire people. It’s terrifying, and it’s horrible.

It’s perfectly normal for media outlets to take stories and photos from wire services (e.g. Associated Press, AFP, Reuters) and make amendments to suit their own editorial style guides. But just how far will a newspaper go, making changes to the original content, in order to promote a particular agenda?

On December 18, 2015, The Guardian ran an Associated Press story about two Palestinians who were killed by Israeli forces: a driver reportedly killed in an attempted attack on Israeli soldiers in the West Bank and a violent protester killed while attempting to breach the border fence between Gaza and Israel.

But The Guardian’s framing of the original AP article may give the cursory reader the impression that the violence was Israeli and targeted non-violent Palestinians. This can be seen in the headline, the lead – the sections that a reader is most likely to look at when skimming – and in the article itself.

This article illustrates how a number of editorial choices – mostly in the way that The Guardian framed the core AP article – subtly shifted the center of violence away from the Palestinians and toward the Israelis.

Igy, if you so firmly believe in what you say, and in Stockman's rantings, are you walking the walk and massively shorting FANG? Especially AMZN? If not, why not?

Consumer spending/consumer confidence: another opportunity just came up for me, to purchase an historic building, in which I would open a franchise of a european home goods retailer. We have been thinking about this for some time, and the opportunity is ripe. Everything is now possible...but I would want a partner...and even at that, I know of a great one, from the country of origin, with vast expertise in the retail sector and import/export.

The only issue going forward is what the consumer economy will look like, especially for low-price (though not the classic "discount") retail, in the highest-income part of town. The demographics all line up perfectly, the buying habits line up, the preferences line up, the ethnic angle lines up, everything...but do I want to get into this type of business at the moment?

It's looking like the answer is no. Everything is perfect, and yet...no. IMO this is the type of climate that exists, and the risk calculation is affected. Where is all that business investment? I see it, but by those better-capitalized than me, with 20 year time-frames. Plus at this point, I don't need the headache, but I would be very tempted if retail conditions appeared better to me.

Just an observation. The art market, in which I was participating, is likely to have hit its peak IMO and be on its way down, at least with respect to certain segments. I will need to shift to bring something else into the mix this year, or just sort of sit the year out after my RE project is done, which would be bizarre. Maybe I'll just sit around turning over short-term's.

You are correct, a leveraged short is not for the inexperienced. I would say with my holdings the emphasis would be short Technology, Biotechnology and S&P 500. So by nature the FANG stocks would be a significant portion of both the Technology index and the broader S&P 500.
